Answer:  The required number of ounces of fruit snacks that Sam and his friends ate is 9.375.

Step-by-step explanation:  Given that Sam and his friends ate 3\dfrac{3}{4} bags of fruit snacks and each bag contained 2\dfrac{1}{2} ounces.

We are to find the number of ounces of fruit snacks that Sam and his friends ate.

The number of bags of fruit snacks ate by Sam and his friends is

n_B=3\dfrac{3}{4}=\dfrac{15}{4}

and the number of ounces in each fruit bag is

n_o=2\dfrac{1}{2}=\dfrac{5}{2}~\textup{ounces}.

Therefore, the number of ounces that Sam and his friends ate is given by

n=n_b\times n_o=\dfrac{15}{4}\times\dfrac{5}{2}=\dfrac{75}{8}=9.375.

Therefore, the required number of ounces of fruit snacks that Sam and his friends ate is 9.375.

a phone company offers a monthly data plan at for $10 a month . the plan includes two megabytes of data and charges $0.10 per me
tatuchka [14]

Answer:

\ m(x) = \{ {{10, if x\leq 2} \atop {0.1x + 9.8, if x>2}} \right.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • One off charge = $10
  • Charge for data over 2 Mb is =  $0.10 per MB

<u>The monthly charge for x MB data is:</u>

1 . Data ta used up to 2 Mb

  • $10

2 . Data used more than 2 Mb

  • m(x) = 10 + 0.1(x - 2) = 10 + 0.1x - 0.2 = 0.1x + 9.8
  • m(x) = 0.1x + 9.8

So the function is:

  • \ m(x) = \{ {{10, if x\leq 2} \atop {0.1x + 9.8, if x>2}} \right.

If f(x) = −2 + 8, what is f(−1.8)?<br><br> 4<br> 6<br> 10<br> 12
zysi [14]
I think that you typed wrongly. That has to be f(x)= -2x+8
If f(x)= -2x+8, we can solve that problem.
We replace x= -1.8 in that expression, that means: f(-1.8)= -2x(-1.8)+8= 3.6+8=11.6

But if the formula of f(x)=-2+8, that means f(x) has a stable value and that value is -2+8=6.
So for all x we always have f(x)=f(-1.8)=6
