The ________ bias can explain why managers doing performance appraisals give more weight to recent employee behaviors than to be
kifflom [539]

Answer:

availability bias

Explanation:

Also known as the availability heuristic, the availability bias describes a mental shortcut and error in thinking that bases judgements and decisions on available or immediate examples that come to a given person's mind when evaluating a specific topic, concept, method or decision. Such as the manager does above when he believes an employee has exhibited the worst behaviour the company has ever seen because it is only recent and it is "an immediate example".

Which statements describe the effects of the labor movement in North Carolina? Check all that apply.
elena55 [62]

Answer:

B. Workers often gave up on strikes because they ran out of money.

F. The movement help set the foundation for the creation of the Textile Workers Union of America.

Explanation:

When it comes to the topic about "labor unions" in United States, the "Loray Mill strike" is considered one of the popular strikes which occurred in North Carolina. Its goal was to provide the employees with better wages and working conditions. This was a response to the "stretch-out system" that the managers introduced. <em>This system doubled the output of the workers and also lowered their wages.</em> The strike went about a few months, but it was unsuccessful. So, this makes letter A, C and E incorrect.

The movement, however, help set the foundation for the creation of the Textile Workers Union of America. This movement was meant to give the textile workers a higher wage and other fair labor practices. This came about when the United Textile Workers of America failed, especially in the North. So, this makes letter F correct.

The members of the union increased during the "Textile Strike of 1934." Many local chapters were established in order to address the different issues. So, this makes letter D incorrect.

One reason for the failure of many labor unions was that <em>"workers often gave up on strikes because they ran out of money." </em>They lacked support and most of the time, they would go back working in the place where they were having a movement against. So, this makes letter B correct. This made their situation even hopeless.

horsena [70]

Answer:

It is very probable that the children will <u>replicate the aggressive behavior they have watched.</u>

Explanation:

The experiment described in the question was performed by famous psychologist Albert Bandura with the purpose of verifying the connection between observational learning and aggressive behavior in children. Observational learning is the learning of something without having actually performed it or having been rewarded or punished for it. It is the learning resulting from observing others do something and the consequences of their actions.

The children who were exposed to the video of the adult behaving aggressively by kicking and punching the Bobo doll were more likely to do the same when given the chance to play with the doll. Watching the adult in the video be rewarded for his behavior increased that possibility, while seeing the adult get punished decreased it.

Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

Renee Baillargeon demonstrated through her studies that babies have an intuitive awareness of physical laws.

Explanation:

Renee Baillargeon was born in Canadá in a place called Quebec, earned her bachelor's degree in psychology at McGill University, then became interested in her specialty, making it at the University of Pennsylvania and later acquired her doctorate.

Renee Baillargeon was interested in investigating the children's development of children, so in one of her studies with infants, she observed that babies have an intuitive awareness of what she considered the laws of physics. Then her interest grew, and I investigate what she mastered as the causal reasoning, which she divided into four areas.

Despite criticism in their research, Renee Baillargeon's studies are considered complementary to those performed by Piaget and are still used in developmental psychology.
