Your rate of change would be 3/4 lb/week.
You could model this with a linear eq:

y = 8+ 3/4x

Answer:

with 0.10 level of significance the P-VALUE that would be used in the hypothesis claim is 0.05%

Step-by-step explanation:

In hypothesis testing in statistics, we can say that the p-value is a probability of obtaining test results when we assume that the null hypothesis is correct.

The p-value is the probability that the null hypothesis is true.

A p-value less than or equals to 0.05  is statistically significant. It shows strong evidence against the null hypothesis, meaning  there is less than a 5% probability the null is correct and clearly we can say that the results are random.

marissa [1.9K]

Given

jacinta buys 4 pounds of turkey and 2 pounds of ham & pays a total of $30, turkey costs $1.50 less per pound than the ham.

find out the combined cost of 1 pound of turkey and 1 pound of ham

To proof

As given in the question

jacinta buys 4 pounds of turkey and 2 pounds of ham

total pay by jacinta = $30

let us assume that the price of the ham = x

as given in the question

turkey costs $1.50 less per pound than the ham

turkey costs becomes = x - 1.50

then the equation becomes

30 = 4 (x - 1.50) + 2x

30 = 4x + 2x - 6

36 = 6x

x = 6

thus

ham cost per pound = $6

turkey cost per pound = 6 - 1.50

                                    = $ 4.5

Now find out

cost of 1 pound of turkey + 1 pound of ham = $ 6 + $ 4.5

                                                                       = $ 10.5

Hence proved

Answer: equations 1,3,4 and 5 stated has solutions.

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question, (x + 5) + 5 = (x + 5) + 5

The equations that represent the situation are:

1. x + 5 = (5 − x) − 5 :which has one solution

2. x + 5 = (x + 5) − 5 : many solutions

3. x + 5 = (x + 5) − 5: no solution

4. x + 5 = (5 − x) − 5 : many solutions

5. (x + 5) + 5 = (x + 5) + 5: many solutions

Equation 2 has no solution. While the other equations have one and more than one solutions.
