The answer is;

How are the organisms related?

What are molecular-level changes that are associated with human disease?

The former applies in the field of evolutionary biology while the latter in the field of medicine and molecular biology. Another application of the whole genome sequencing technology is in forensics (paternity testing and DNA matching and profiling). Also, metagenomics that enables researchers to determine which types of microbes may be present in a particular biome.

Whole genome sequencing represents the determination of the complete DNA sequence of an organism’s genome at a single time, which entails chromosomal DNA as well as DNA contained in mitochondria and chloroplasts. Whole genome sequencing provides a powerful tool for both de novo sequencing and re-sequencing. De novo sequencing refers to sequencing of a novel genome without reference sequence available. The coverage quality of de novo assembly depends on the size and continuity of the contigs. De novo sequencing generates the first genome map for a species, thus providing a valuable reference sequence for re-sequencing. Oxford Nanopore and PacBio sequencing systems enable a faster and more accurate characterization of any species at the nucleotide level.

Whole genome resequencing can identify DNA biomarkers such as single nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs), insertions and deletions (indels), structure variations (SVs), copy number variations (CNVs) and other genetic changes of the sequenced species with high accuracy. It also provides an unprecedented opportunity for characterizing the polymorphic variants in a population, which comprehensively unravels the underlying mechanisms of species origin, development, growth, and evolution. What’s more, whole genome re-sequencing is an indispensable part of genome-wide association study (GWAS), where common genetic variants in different individuals are assessed to determine if a variant is associated with a particular phenotype. GWAS can be broadly used in food safety, agriculture, and pharmacy, especially the personalized medicine. Precise but inaccurate.

Explanation:

It is precise because the measurement taken with well incremated tool reflect how close it is to the actual value i.e it has the quality of been exact but diet to the missing of 4.0 centimeter because a hungry beaver made a snack of it earlier that day the measurements will be INACCURATE because it does not conform with the result of the standard or correct value to be gotten.

DIA [1.3K]
Hey there!

Here is your answer:

Since there are not options im going to go with what i know:

(Alleles)

heterozygous: A,a
homozygous: a,a

Therefore the Punnett square should look like this:

A, a
a IA,a I a,a
a IA, a I a, a

Therefore the answer is 50% A,a , and 50% a, a!

If you need anymore help feel free to ask me!

Hope this helps!

Water is essential for survival. It is important to understand the factors that affect water balance and the best sources to hel
Ludmilka [50]

Answer:

2-Water helps maintain body temperature.

3-Diuretics like alcohol and some medications can cause the body to lose water.

Explanation:

Dehydration occurs when the amount of what loss is more than the amount taken. And we lose water in many ways therefore taking water on a regular basis is important to replace the fluids lost and keep the body functioning.

Water Maintains the Body Temperature

During high temperature, the body cools itself naturally by sweating and by sweating a large amount of water is lost. So when enough water is not taken, there will be less production of sweating thereby causing the body's temperature to rise.

Alcohol Causes Water Loss

Taking excess alcohol can result to dehydration because the hormone called anti-diuretic (while alcohol is diuretic) is used to reabsorb water by the body and alcohol in the body depletes the production of this hormone. The body loses more water than normal with a reduced amount of anti-diuretic in the body. Excessive intake of alcohol can also cause vomiting, which depletes the body of fluids and can cause further dehydration.
