The four main types of printmaking are Lithography and Intaglio
Lithography is printing from a stone or a metal plate with a smooth surface it can be used to print text or artwork onto paper or other surface material.
Intaglio is the family of printing and printmaking techniques in which the image is incised into a surface and the incised line or sunken area holds the ink it is the direct opposite of a relief print.
Relief printing is printing from raised images as in letterpress and flexography.
Screen printing is where you face ink or metal onto (a surface) through a prepared screen of fine material so as to create a picture or pattern.
