The correct answer is C. viscosity.
You can check the viscosity of the brake-fluid with using a voltmeter. You can see that by using the voltmeter and read on it the volts, the bigger the voltage the bigger the moisture in brake-fluid, thus less viscosity.

The average yearly snowfall in Chillyville is Normally distributed with a mean of 55 inches. If the snowfall
GuDViN [60]

Answer:

The standard deviation is 4.83 inches.

Explanation:

We are given that the average yearly snowfall in Chillyville is Normally distributed with a mean of 55 inches.

The snowfall  in Chillyville exceeds 60 inches in 15% of the years, we have to find the standard deviation.

Let X = <u><em>the average yearly snowfall in Chillyville</em></u>.

The z-score probability distribution for the normal distribution is given by;

                                 Z = \frac{X-\mu}{\sigma}  ~ N(0,1)

where, \mu = mean amount of rainfall = 55 inches

            \sigma = standard deviation

Now, it is stated that the snowfall  in Chillyville exceeds 60 inches in 15% of the years, that means;

        P(X > 60 inches) = 0.15

        P( \frac{X-\mu}{\sigma} > \frac{60-55}{\sigma} ) = 0.15

        P(Z > \frac{60-55}{\sigma} ) = 0.15

In the z table, the critical value of z that represents the top 15% of the area is given as  1.0364, that means;

                       \frac{60-55}{\sigma} = 1.0364

                       \sigma} = \frac{5}{1.0364} = 4.83 inches

Hence, the standard deviation is 4.83 inches.

Bill Board is trying to reduce his sodium intake to an average of 2300 mg. He records his sodium intake for 4 days. The amounts
sergiy2304 [10]

Answer:

His average for 4 days is 2542.5 mg

Intake of 5th day has to be less than 1330 mg

Explanation:

In order to find the average we take the sum of intakes for 4 day ans then divide it by total number of day which is 4 days.

Average = (2150 + 3005 + 2700 + 2315) / 4

Average = 10170/4

Average = 2542.5 mg

To find the 5th day intake such that average is below 2300 mg:

Let 5th day intake = x

We apply the same method to find the average by taking the sum of intakes for 5 days and then dividing the total with 5 days now. This average has to be less than 2300 mg therefore we use the following method:

(2150 + 3005 + 2700 + 2315 + x ) / 5 < 2300

2300 = (10170 + x)/ 5 < 2300

10170 + x < 11500

x < 11500 - 10170

x < 1330 mg

trapecia [35]

Answer: A. The charge will be due on the next bill. The charge was already billed as reflected in Everett ’s credit card statement. However, since he has immediately lodged his complaint to the bank about the unfamiliar charge, his payment for the said charge was deferred while it is being investigated.  The bank validated his complaint by sending him the copy of his signature previously authorizing the charge. Since his complaint is not valid, Everett must pay the charge which will be due on the next bill.
