When a supervisor is afraid to voice an idea because she fears criticism, the result is a receiver barrier? Sender barrier. Because the supervisor fears the criticism, the supervisor does not want to send the message to the employees. Since the fear is done on the senders behalf, it is their responsibility to make an effort to try and stop the barrier and understand it is perfectly fine and normal to send/speak the information they are wanting to.
