Nectar in a Sieve is about the changing socioeconomic milieu of a village located in Southern India. The novel portrays virtues in action. There are instances of faith, love and hope in Rukmani's life yet the greatest theme is hope. Nature can test the hope of human yet in the end nature does not grant the ultimate victory.

The figurative language is used to empower the themes, to emphasize certain thing and make the writing persuasive and strong about the idea that the author want to convey, for example in “Nectar in a Sieve” the drums are used to symbolize times of change just like when Ruku listens "drums of calamity" during the great storm in the village.

alukav5142 [94]

Answer:

The correct answer is C)

Explanation:

To Alice, the entire trial was a sham. There was a Jury (of which the Lizard was a member) that was incapable of reading. If this was so, how could they evaluate any evidence that spoke to her credit or demerit?

For in the same Chapter 7, a letter or a collection of verses was read which according to the Queen was a piece of evidence against Alice. The Jury, even upon the challenge to do so by Alice, could not interpret the same.

Cheers!

IgorC [24]

Answer:

The answer is explained below.

Explanation:

John Steinbeck was an American writer who was awarded the Novel Prize in 1962. His most famous works are Of Mice and Men, Grapes of Wrath, among others. He also wrote non-fictional works. A novella is a long short story or a short novel.

The phrase friendship, like love, opens other vistas, is contrasting with a world often ruled by the dollar and what I can buy, meaning that friendship offers invaluable things that money cannot buy. Also, friendship is related to dreams because friends encourage them and also to go after the dreams.
