Answer:

The protagonist progresses from childhood to adulthood.

Explanation:

'Bildungsroman' displays a literary genre that exemplifies both the moral and psychological growth of the protagonist from childhood to adulthood. For this feature, it is also categorized as "the formation narrative". It exemplifies the journey of the character from immaturity(child) to maturity(child) that in his quest to find the solution to the conflicts of life eventually determines his growth as an individual, both physically and mentally. The most common examples of this genre are 'Emma' by Jane Austen, 'Frankenstein' by Mary Shelley, "Wuthering Heights" by Charlotte Bronte, etc.

Some of the characteristics of this genre could be as listed below:

  • The progression of the protagonist from childhood to adulthood remains the defining characteristic.
  • Experience of moral growth and development by the protagonist.
  • A quest to search for meanings of life and attainment of maturity.
  • End with the protagonist confirming to society by giving his consent to the moral values and norms of society.

Pay attention to how the poem at once seems to describe a pleasant outing and the experience of being called away from life by d
mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

In the poem, the speaker seems to be discussing a pleasant date, as if oblivious to the fact that this is a journey to death. The tone of the poem seems light and perhaps even dismissive of all the scenes passing by, as though these cornerstones of life were not terribly significant. However, the underlying mood of the poem is somewhat sad because the speaker is describing a world she’s leaving behind. This difference between the descriptions of the outing and of dying creates some dramatic irony.  The speaker sees but doesn’t really see the world of the living because she’s already dead.

Explanation:

This is the exact from Edmentum so make sure to change it up a little.

What type of rhyme is used in this excerpt from William Butler Yeats's poem "The Municipal Gallery Revisited"? My mediaeval knee
Arlecino [84]
Hello, the answer here would be "slant rhyme". It cannot be a "strict rhyme" because it is not strict, the rhyme changes throughout the poem, it doesn't follow the same scheme. It isn't "internal rhyme" as well, because the words don't rhyme within a single line. It isn't a "double rhyme" because these are all monosyllabic words (one syllable) and for it to be a double rhyme there needs to be at least to syllables in a word. So the only option is "slant rhyme", which isn't exactly rhyming, for example, "dear" and "door" would be considered slant rhyme.
