Short answer: No.

Long answer:

We shouldn't force everyone to speak english, because while it is easier for people to communicate if they all speak the same language, there will still be some problems. Language allows us to have another way to differentiate between people groups, and is a part of the culture of each people group. Language in itself, because of it's diversity, can show what each culture believes in, what the set rules are, as well as how they interact, and using language, what they can build. Language also serves as a diversify of production of items. If everybody spoke the same language, while there will be technology advancement, we will not be able to see how different groups (language groups specifically) handle the same problems. While it is good to be at least bilingual, i believe that not everyone should speak english.

hope this helps

Answer:

No.

Explanation:

Assuming the question is posed from a mostly Anglophone country, like the USA or England, I don´t believe every person in the country should speak English (let alone every person in the world). Empires, nations, countries, since the dawn of history, have always been built, regardless of any current xenophobic ideology, on the movement of immigrants, and cultures and language itself have always been built upon the transformations and innovations that immigration accompanies. From an anthropological, sociological, and a historical point of view, language diversity has been more productive for thought, ideas, aesthetics, and language itself than discrimination and forced standardization ever have.

The youth is already academically advanced compared to the past. I believe children should pursue happiness. They should still learn and pursue academic excellence. However I don’t think it is a bad thing to encourage children to find happiness.

Digiron [165]

Answer:

The slogan of  "Serving the People", is one of the core principles of the Communist Party of China. In times of difficulty we must not lose sight of our achievements, must see the bright future and must pluck up our courage. The Chinese people are suffering; it is our duty to save them and we must exert ourselves in struggle. You may also check what the writers from Prime-writings can write in 150 words. Believe me, they prepare only the unplagiarized content.

Which of these quotes best explains Hamid's advice to novelists?
Dima020 [189]

Answer:

A. "And the novel needs to keep changing if it is to remain novel."

Explanation:

In the article, Hamid seems to prefer TV viewing over reading lengthy novels, this is evident when he said <em>"I now watch a lot of TV.."</em> He goes further to say <em>"Films could be well written, but they were smaller than novels. TV was big, but its writing was clunky..this represents a crisis for the novel."</em>

Then comes Hamid's advice to novelists,<em> "And the novel needs to keep changing if it is to remain novel."</em>
