To find the volume of the prism, use the formula:

v = (1/2)(a)(c)(h)

a = height of the triangle

c = base of the triangle

h = side of the rectangle (not connected to the triangle).

1/2(14 x 7 x 4) = V

Simplify. Follow PEMDAS

1/2(392) = V

Simplify. Multiply 1/2 with 392 (or divide by 2)

392(1/2) = V

392/2 = V

V = 196

196 is your volume of the prism.

hope this helps

Hey!

The formula for finding volume of a prism is:

\frac{1}{2} abs \\ a = area \\ b = base \\ s = side

Put in the numbers:

\frac{1}{2} (14 \times 7 \times 4) = \frac{1}{2} 392

You have to find \frac{1}{2} of 392. To do so, divide by 2.

392 \div 2 = 196

<em>The volume is 196 units</em>

Good luck and hope this helps! :)

The length of a rectangle is 20 units more than its width. The area of the rectangle is x4−100.
Mice21 [21]

Answer:

1. x^2-10 because the area expression can be rewritten as (x^2-10)(x^2+10)which equals (x^2-10)((x^2-10)+20).

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the rectangle =(x^4-100)

x^4-100=(x^2)^2-10^2\\$Applying difference of two squares: a^2-b^2=(a-b)(a+b)\\(x^2)^2-10^2=(x^2-10)(x^2+10)

Since the length of a rectangle is 20 units more than its width.

Width: x^2-10\\Length=x^2+10=x^2-10+20

The correct option is therefore 1.

The sixth grade is charging $9 per car to wash cars. The fifth grade is charging $8.50 per car. Suppose each grade washes 50 car
ArbitrLikvidat [17]
6th graders make $9 per car. $9 times 50 cars
5th graders make $8.50 per car. $8.50 times cars

6th graders earn $450 after washing 50 cars.
5th graders earn $425 after washing 50 cars

$450-$425=$25

The 6th graders make $25 more than the 5th graders.
