Which two parts of this passage demonstrate the use of the bandwagon technique to persuade readers? Mother Nature Needs Your Hel

p You have probably heard the phrase "Mother Nature knows best." It's a motto we sometimes say in jest, but the phrase has a lot of truth in it. It's a truth that much of the world is ignoring. Unless we start listening to Mother Nature and start taking care of our lush, green planet, our world as we know it will not be around much longer. Every part of nature is being depleted by overuse and lack of care, and no one seems concerned. However, there are people who do care! You can be one of them. Protecting nature is an important task. Join with the defenders of our planet and help preserve the beauty of our world. Enjoy a new and creative program that allows you to experience a working vacation in the Grampians National Park of Australia. The new Improve Nature program offers you the unique opportunity to work with a park ranger and participate in local environmental projects. You will have the chance to explore the park and visit areas that are not available to the typical tourist. This will be a vacation like none you have ever experienced. While you are having a memorable experience, you will also be helping Mother Nature. Reset Next

One part is "Unless we start listening to Mother Nature and start taking care of our lush, green planet, our world as we know it will not be around much longer." It can make the reader seem worried for the planet because they live on it and it not being around much longer than where will they go? It makes them want to help for the sake of them selves. As well as "Every part of nature is being depleted by overuse and lack of care, and no one seems concerned." People don't want to be know as "the bad guys" so they want to start helping so they won't be put into the horrible people title.

Kafka used the word Ungeziefer to describe Gregor's transformation. In the translation, the word "vermin" is used. What image do
Jet001 [13]

The word vermin is used for wild animals which are believed to be harmful to crops or which carry disease, but metaphorically can be used to depict despicable people or people causing problems for the rest of society. Therefore, use of this word suggests that Gregor Samsa will despicable and a problem for society (in this case, he is a problem to his family). Critics have argued about the meaning of “The Metamorphosis” written by Franz Kafka, but many believe that the Grete, Gregor’s sister, is the central character and that Gregor’s existence has driven all attention from her and became harmful for her future and future of her parents. As Volker Drüke suggests, Grete is the one that actually experiences metamorphosis – she has matured as a result of the new family circumstances and assumed responsibility. She becomes a woman and after her brother’s death, the parents also notice that she “who was getting more animated all the time, had blossomed […] into a beautiful and voluptuous young woman”, and want to look for a partner for her.

Read the excerpt below and answer the question. “Hey, kid, how old are you?” The man interrogating me was an inmate. I could not
qaws [65]

I think there are two ptions that show internal conflict:

1) He considers whether or not to trust the inmate who tells him he´s not fifteen.

In this case he doesn't know the inmmate and doesn't know the exact reason hes telling him to lie. One reason is because he wants to help him, that information would save his life from the SS. The other option is that the inmmate is selfish and by telling him to lie, the kid will be punished instead of him. The kid must decide then if he trusts him or not.

2) He must decide whether or not to tell Dr. Mengele the truth about his age.

In this case he has even more doubts, he knows Mengeles reputation and he doesn't know how much information does he have and how will it affect him. If he lies he might know it and punish him or that lie could save him.

The conflict is real because his life could depend on the decissions he makes.
