Answer:

As stated in the US constitution, state governments have the power to tax some products which the Federal government does not tax and does not prohibit taxing.

Out of all the options, only gasoline is taxed by the Federal government, which is actually 18.4 cents per gallon and 24.4 cents per gallon for diesel fuel for all of the country. For alcohol, cigarettes and real state the taxes vary depending on what the state government decides to tax.

blagie [28]

Answer:

- Difference in culture

- Difference in resources availability

- Difference in geographical location

- Difference in Relationship with other societies

Explanation:

Difference in culture create a different standard of what considered to be right and what considered to be wrong. Sometimes, tolerance for violence in a certain culture become so high to the point where it is very hard for peace to develop.

Resource availability and geographical location determine how much wealth the society can accumulate. Society that accumulate more wealth tend to be more peaceful compared to starving society.

Last but not least, relationship with other societies. When a society managed to build a mutually beneficial relationship with its neighboring societies, peace development would most likely be accelerated since they are in the mindset of helping/building each other up.

lyudmila [28]
Because "they hope to stimulate more business for downtown restaurants, bars, and hotels".

A central business district (CBD) is the business and commercial focal point of a city. In bigger urban communities, it is frequently synonymous with the city's "monetary area". Topographically, it regularly agrees with the "downtown area" or "downtown", yet the two ideas are partitioned: numerous urban areas have a focal business locale found far from its business or social downtown area or downtown.
