Read the claim. Bob Dylan deserved to win the Nobel Prize. Which excerpt from "Bob Dylan, Titan of American Music, Wins 2016 Nob

el Prize In Literature" provides the best supporting evidence for the claim? "[Dylan is] the first American to have won the prize in more than two decades. Not since novelist Toni Morrison won in 1993 has an American claimed the prize." "The prospect that the musician would be the one to break the Americans' long dry spell was regarded as far-fetched—not least because he made his career foremost on the stage, not the printed page." "His track 'Like a Rolling Stone' has taken on mythic standing in the decades since its release; many, including Dylan himself, have pointed to it as emblematic of a sea change in American music." "This year, the prize carries with it a purse of approximately $900,000 and, as usual, inclusion on literature's most illustrious list—the pantheon of Nobel winners.

The best supporting evidence for the claim is the excerpt "His track '<em>Like a</em> <em>Rolling Stone</em>" has taken on mythic standing in the decades since its release; many, including Dylan himself, have pointed to it as emblematic of a sea change in American music." This is a strong statement, considering that Bob Dylan was a musician and a writer of <em>songs</em> and not of <em>Literature</em>. Nevertheless, the song "<em>Like a Rolling Stone</em>", before becoming a song, was a piece of writing 10-20 pages long, so he decided to select only four verses and the chorus.

Answer: "great, grey, stone wall", ''Sour smelling cement''

Explanation:

If we are trying to connect both the Berlin Wall picture and Inge's Wall (literary artwork) we must be aware of the story in that Inge's Wall is representing.

Inge's Wall story: In Inge's Wall, there is one wall with two sides, one side is unattainable and alive, unlike the other side where the main character Inge is living. Her side is grey, without color and lifeless. She discovered the bright side when she looked up through the one hole that she found on that wall and then she saw a different world, opposite of her own.

  • If we compare the phrases with the picture, we can see that the wall is great, grey and from the stone and sour smelling cement because that was her point of view in the novel.

Since we cannot see much more, we cannot tell if there are busy traffic or laughter and music on the other side of the wall.
