The answers are:

 1. A nonprofit website that provides information on how to clean up the environment
 2. A recent newspaper article on global warming from a reputable news organization
 3. A government website providing information on national efforts to investigate global warming
 4. A magazine article about climate change in a respected scientific journal

These options are all credible sources. Credibility is defined through trustworthiness and expertise. Both of these components can be perceived from the four options above: the nonprofit organization’s website, the reputable news organization’s newspaper, the government’s website, and the scientific journal’s magazine article.

A blog by an unknown person lacks credibility both in terms of trustworthiness and expertise, since we do not know much about credential or experiences that the person who owns the blog has.

kondor19780726 [428]

Answer:

The French writer tells about the contradictions of this world. For example, if a person values his skills and wants to charge it properly, people usually complain and say that he overestimates himself; however, if a person gives a lower price for his services, people will have doubts in his work.

Explanation:

In this literary work, a person receives an inheritance from his grandson and as he is not greedy, he wants to rent a house for minimal price. He wants to win the hearts of people, but the only thing he did was to bring a bad reputation to the family. So, in this work, the contradictions of human nature can be related to everyday life.

Read the passage from Sugar Changed the World.
dalvyx [7]

Answer:

It provides background on how a family from Russia got into the sugar business.

Explanation:

The book Sugar Changed the World: A Story of Magic, Spice, Slavery, Freedom, and Science tells about the development of the sugar business, starting from its origins in New Guinea in 7000 B.C. to the 21st century and production of ethanol. An important topic in the book is a blood trail this industry left - the deaths of countless African slaves forced into sugar production.

This particular excerpt tells a story about how an ancestor of one Russian family entered the sugar business as a serf, a farmer bound to his lord's land, which he works on.

CaHeK987 [17]

Answer:

Not 100% sure about this answer, but I know you need it because this is the second time you have asked this question (that I have seen).

I think Frank should tell the student that keeps on interrupting the other speaker to stop interrupting and wait his turn. He/she probably wouldn't want people interrupting him/her so he/she should pay them the same respects.

Hope this helps!
