I would feel slightly intimidated that somebody so young could be prepared for such jobs but starting earlier could help their experience. the expectations are high these days because apprenticeship is popular, but imagine how it was back then. It wouldn't completely put me off apprenticeship but I understand the uncertainty because of competition for employment and eagerness to impress/work hard under stressful conditions.

Read the excerpt from Anthem. Here, on this mountain, I and my sons and my chosen friends shall build our new land and our fort.
Nadusha1986 [10]

The imagery of "the heart" suggests that the relationship between the society the narrator plans to build and the outside world will be the following: membership for the new society on the mountain will be open to anyone.

In chapter twelve of Anthem, which is the chapter from which the excerpt was extracted, Equality 7-2521 and the Golden One decide that they will launch a new race in the abandoned house they found from the Unmentionable Times. This new race that they vow to create will accept individualism, and they intend to make it the heart of the earth, i.e., <em>the central piece of the planet, </em>the core that will keep life flowing for humanity (much like a heart keeps the body alive by pumping blood). A humanity that believes in individualism, the word "I", and the supremacy of the ego.

Create an in-text citation for the following information. Be careful! Remember, your spacing and punctuation must be exact:
Gemiola [76]

Answer:

"Quote" (Good Housekeeping, 24).

Explanation:

In-text citations are inserted in the body of your paper to shortly emphasize the source of your information. Brief in-text citations point the reader to more complete information in the works cited list at the end of the paper. <u>The works cited list would look like this -->> "Environmentally Friendly Flooring." </u><em><u>Good Housekeeping</u></em><u>, Dec. 2011, p. 24.</u>

But as we need the in-text citation, we would put in parentheses the name of the magazine and the page where we quoted from -->> <u>"Quote" (Good Housekeeping, 24).</u>

I hope it helped you :)

Write two to three sentences that describe Thoreau’s viewpoint in this passage.
Deffense [45]
Thoreau's <em>overall</em> viewpoint was that it was in solitude with nature that a man could really learn to thrive. He argued that a life of luxury was an unnecessary one and that a man could easily make a living without even having to sweat if he would just strip his life of unneeded, materialistic items. I hope this helps, although I am not sure how to narrow this down seeing as your question is incomplete.
