It would be  Odysseus is revealing himself to Eumaeus and Philoetius before the massacre to get their support. He does this because they are the only ones who know about this scar and he wants them to know it is him.

Answer:

The answer choice to this question: What is the significance of this passage, would be: Odysseus is revealing himself to Eumaeus and Philoetius before the massacre to get their support.

Explanation:

"The Odyssey" is the one of the greatest epic poems of all times. Written by Homer, during ancient Greece, it narrates the events that take place when Odysseus, king of Ithaca, makes his way from the Trojan War, towards his home. This particular line, which makes part of book 21, speaks of a moment when the tournament has stopped and Odysseus pulls with him Eumaeus and Philoetius, the cowherd and swineherd. After asking these men for their loyalty towards himself, before revealing who he is, Odysseus sees that the two of them have always wished for his return, and thus, he not only reveals himself to them but also promises them rewards for having remained faithful to him. Odysseus does this because he wants to know who he can count on before he continues with his plans against the suitors.

Hannah is writing an argument about free speech on the internet. Read her claim.
Serga [27]

A)The internet is one place people can speak their minds without fear.

D)It is impossible to know whether the people we entrust with the job of judging online content will act in our best interests.

These both support Hannah's claim about allowing free speech on the internet so that protection does not turn into censorship. Option A supports the idea that the internet is a place where people can speak their minds. Option D explains why giving people the task of judging online content is problematic. The other two options are in favor of allowing certain safeguards that would limit free speech on the internet. These are counterclaims that Hannah needs to address in her argument but to show why they are weak not as support for her claim.
