Warmer temperatures favor the birth of female turtles, while males are disadvantaged. As seen in the question, this can be seen in Florida, where 90% of turtles born are female.

If climate change continues to influence a hot climate, male turtles will appear in smaller and smaller proportions. As a result, mating and breeding will decrease and the turtle population will decrease over time.
