The character of Chairman Reed in this passage has the role of an effective moderator on the grounds that before formaly starting with the discussion, he reminds the members of it of participanting only until the end when everything is said and done from Mrs. Louis and Mr. Hollembeak; also, at the same time, Chairman Reed wants to hear the opinion of Mr. Hollembeak about the case as he was willing to discuss, which the chairman asked him later to show support. Another thing to said is that it was not the Chairman Reed who challenged Mr. Hollembeak but Mrs. Louis, who seemed to interrogate him along the dicussion. Thus, the correct option for this is A <em>"Effective. Chairman Reed is reminding participants of the rules for discussion, acknowledging Mr. Hollembeak’s point of view, and asking him to support his point of view with facts."</em>

This effects the reader in the story by getting a better understanding how Gregor views the ones that he interacts with. Not only does it shed light on what kind of person Gregor is, it allows you to be drawn in to the book by the character as he experiences different situations with different characters. Do you think that John Muir made an effective argument for saving the redwoods? Why or why not?
mylen [45]

John Muir makes an effective argument for saving the redwoods. He appeals to logic by giving evidence about the destruction. He seems very credible because he knows about the history of individual trees. Finally, he makes readers want to save the trees by using strong emotional language throughout.

PLEASE HELP!! WILL MARK BRAINLIEST!!! ( ゚Д゚)<!!
Assoli18 [71]

The answer for the first question is A) The dark atmosphere shows that public schools have been victims of destructive weather events. We can observe that  the school has been tore apart and its barely standing still, most likely due to the destructive weather event that just took place in the scenario.

For the second question, I believe the answer is C) He compares the colonies to pieces of snake because he believes colonies will be innefective unless they work together. His belief is not only representated by the snake but also by the slogan he chose 'Join or Die' which allows us to understand that unless the colonies unite they are not effective.

Hope this helps!
