Read the passage from chapter 2 of Animal Farm. These three had elaborated old Major's teachings into a complete system of thoug

ht, to which they gave the name of Animalism. Several nights a week, after Mr. Jones was asleep, they held secret meetings in the barn and expounded the principles of Animalism to the others. At the beginning they met with much stupidity and apathy. Some of the animals talked of the duty of loyalty to Mr. Jones, whom they referred to as "Master,” or made elementary remarks such as "Mr. Jones feeds us. If he were gone, we should starve to death.” Others asked such questions as "Why should we care what happens after we are dead?” or "If this Rebellion is to happen anyway, what difference does it make whether we work for it or not?”, and the pigs had great difficulty in making them see that this was contrary to the spirit of Animalism. The stupidest questions of all were asked by Mollie, the white mare. The very first question she asked Snowball was: "Will there still be sugar after the Rebellion?”

Answer:

  • The development of communism.
  • Plans to overthrow Tsar Nicholas II.
  • Those who preferred life under the tsar.

Explanation:

In this passage, we learn about the process the animals had to go through in order to change the way in which they lived. We learn that "animalism" was a new theory that was spreading among them. This is the equivalent of communism. Much like in communism, animalism called for the overthrow of the traditional leaders and the rise of the workers. The traditional leader in communism would be Tsar Nicholas II, represented here by the farmer. Moreover, the animals who question this change in lifestyle are representative of those who preferred life under the tsar.

These rights are often referred to as Miranda rights. The purpose of such notification is to preserve the admissibility of their statements made during custodial interrogation in later criminal proceedings. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.

n the United States, the right to remain silent is designed to protect a person who is undergoing police questioning or trial. This right may help a person avoid making self-incriminating statements. This I believe would be the fifth amendment.

The Fifth Amendment privilege against compulsory self-incrimination applies when an individual is called to testify in a legal proceeding.

The Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution provides, "No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger

In criminal cases, the Fifth Amendment guarantees the right to a grand jury, forbids “double jeopardy,” and protects against self-incrimination.
