Jack is concerned with making sure that Gwendolen is happy, but Lady Bracknell is concerned only with whether Jack can prove he has important family members. Lady Bracknell’s response is ridiculous because it is impossible to expect Jack to miraculously find one of his parents. Jack’s offer to produce the handbag as a suitable substitute for his parents highlights how ridiculous her request is.

Hope this helps :)

This passage uses humor to critique Victorian views about the importance of family by showing that feel as if children (aka starting a family) are everyday items like a "hand-bag".

Where did the narrator live before she moved to The house on mango street? How were her previous homes different?
sveta [45]

Answer:

She lived in Keeler and later in Loomis, the difference is that in these places the family had to pay rent and share a part of the land with other people. In Mango street they paid no rent and had more privacy, as there was no need to share any part of the house with other families.

Explanation:

"The house oif mango street" tells the story of Esperanza, who lives in a Latin community with many social, economic and structural problems that limit her, but she refuses to accept this reality and dreams of having a better life than the one the circumstances it offers, but it will have to go through many challenges, many of them focused on the culture of its own ethnic group.

Choose one of Schlosser’s two claims: “the fast-food industry resembles the manufacturing business” or “teenagers are the ideal
loris [4]
The fast food has an organized way of making food for the customers. They also have complete equipment from food preparation, distribution and selling of food. The manager as boss directly applies management of workers which gives the business good standing to make the business work. This routine resembles other businesses and is not far from the organizational flow.

Teenagers are the ideal people for the business because they have fast response. They think quickly and can follow the procedures given to them. They have enough energy to perform their tasks.

Sartre said that we should not take people’s circumstances into account when judging what they have accomplished in life. Do you
lutik1710 [3]

I disagree because some people have more opportunities in life than others and, for this reason, they have the chance to accomplish more.

For instance, a child born in a developing country would probably have less chances in his/her life for education and consequently less job opportunities than a child born in the Western world. Also, in the Western world, two people may have different education opportunities because one is raised by a rich family and the other is raised by a poor one.

Sometimes circumstances are unfair and so we shouldn't compare the accomplishments of two people without considering their circumstances.
