A windmill’s blades move from the blowing wind. The movement of the blades represents kinetic energy.

The visible light that allows people to see where they are going describes radiant energy.

Explanation:

An object possesses an energy due to its motion is referred as kinetic energy. Whereas energy due to position of an objects called potential energy.

When the wind blows, its blade catches kinetic energy and rotate to transform into mechanical energy. Hence, the blade's rotation denotes kinetic energy.

Radiant energy is simply energy transmitted by waves or sometimes by particles. It is energy emitted by electromagnetic radiation. It is also a kind of kinetic energy.

Because particles move when they move light, heat and radiation from one source to another. Therefore, Radiant energy denotes when visible light permits people to see where they go.

which statement correctly compares and contrast the three stages of cellluar respiration that occurs in the presence of oxygen
Lapatulllka [165]

Full Question:

Which statement correctly compares and contrasts the three stages of cellular respiration that occur in the presence of oxygen? Each stage occurs in the mitochondria, but only the final stage produces ATP. Each stage produces ATP, but only the third stage occurs in the mitochondria. Each stage produces ATP, but only the first stage occurs in the cytoplasm. Each stage occurs in the cytoplasm, but only the final stage produces ATP.

Answer:

Each stage produces ATP, but only the first stage occurs in the cytoplasm.

Explanation:

Cellular respiration is the process by which the glucose or any respiratory substrate is burned down inside a cell producing ATP or energy. This process of cellular respiration is seen in each and every living cell. The glucose is burned in the cytoplasm of the cell producing the pyruvate. This pyruvate is decarboxylated into Acetyl CoA and transferred inside the mitochondria. So the glycolysis or the 1st step of cellular respiration occurs in cytoplasm and rest inside the mitochondria.

ATP is produced from each astep of cellular respiration. So the correct option is option C.

If you increase the number of water molecules in the extracellular fluid, will the membrane move to the right or the left in the
Igoryamba

Answer:

The membrane will move to the left in view of the applied pressure.

Explanation:

The scenario described can be perfectly illustrated through understanding the concept of osmosis.

Osmosis can be defined as the movement of particules or molecules in a solvent from a region of lower concentration to a region of higher concentration, through a semi permeable membrane.

To put differently, the movement of water molecules is from a region of lower osmotic pressure to a higher one. And for osmosis to be achieved and water molecules evenly distributed, pressure built must be slow and steady to a state of high or equilibrium.

This often results to movement of membrane to the left as a response to the osmosis phenomenon. Increasing the number of water molecules in the extra cellular fluid will thus accelerate this process, increase the pressure built up, and thus generate ripples from a lower area to a higher one. Osmosis is thus gradual and steady.
