Frick (1991) claimed that computers would become so powerful that K-12 educators and students would able to produce their own mu

ltimedia and Web-based learning materials. He further predicted that they would just need to take the time required to learn to use the authoring tools and related technologies such as digital cameras and camcorders.

Your anwers refers to a paragraph taken from the Student Version written in 2002 from the text: 'Reestructuring education through technology (1991).

The original text written in 1991 goes like this:

<em>"The technological tools available today for creating computer-based learning materials are incredibly more powerful than those introduced just a few years ago. We can make our own movies with camcorders in our homes; we can publish our own books. Soon teachers and students will be able to use computer-video technology to produce their own learning materials. All it takes is time, know-how, and some funds."</em>

Therefore, this is an example of paraphrasing plagiarism, as it contains the following conditions:

  1. It borrows ideas from the original source material
  2. It is not word-for-word plagiarism
  3. It lacks an in-text citation with original author names and dates and a bibliographical reference

I hope this helps, have a great week!

Answer:

C) Clover feels frustrated at what has happened at the farm and at her inability to stop it.

Explanation:

" If she could have spoken her thoughts, it would have been to say that this was not what they had aimed at when they had set themselves years ago to work for the overthrow of the human race." Here she thinks of how she Could've spoken her thoughts and perhaps could've had an influence on the events, but now, she has lost hope, with no picture of the future with just terror and control everywhere. The other options don't really work with the text as the last sentence: "There was no thought of rebellion or disobedience in her mind." goes against A and she was for Old Major's beliefs, but is distraught that the society has gone completely away from what they were. Hope this helps, idk why the other answer is that from another question.

Which option is an example of a complex sentence?
iren2701 [21]

Answer:

Sentence D is an example of a complex sentence.

Explanation:

A complex sentence contains one independent clause and at least one dependent clause. The difference between an independent clause and a dependent one is that the former can stand alone as a sentence as it represents a complete thought. The ungrammaticality of sentence A proves this point.  As you can see, without the independent clause (B), the dependent clause (A) does not represent a complete idea, it depends on the main clause to complete its meaning (C).

A) *Because it is cruel

B) The death penalty should be abolished

C) Because it is cruel, the death penalty should be abolished

How does Capote, as a writer, handle the actual murder of the Clutter family? in the novel "in cold blood"
Ronch [10]

"In cold blood" is a faction novel, which means it is fiction based on facts. It tells a story of a horrible murder committed by D.ck Hickock and Perry Smith on Friday 13th 1959 in Holcomb, Kansas. On that night the Clutter family was killed by them.

Truman Capote stumbled across a short article in New York Times and got very intrigued by the story. He was waiting for a long time for a story spin like this.

In his book "In cold blood" Capote prepares his readers for the horrible events that are going to happen. Even  the name of the book gives a hint to the reader, so it is known that  somebody is going to die.

The perspective of the narration switches back and forth which involves the reader more into the story. When the perspective switches to D.ck and Perry, while Clutters are still alive, it makes the reader wonder when the murder is going to happen. With this literately device Capote plays with his reader building up the tension.

At some degree the author tries to make this horrible event a little bit less shocking for his audience. Capote creates suspense by putting questions in his readers heads like: "When the family is going to die?, How will it happen? What will I feel?".

Capote handles the murder by creating suspense because the reader before starting the book already knows that the family gets killed and the murderers get executed, therefore this book is a test of how you will react to the described events.
