Jay Kaufman said that while scientists cannot collect and study samples of the ancient atmosphere, they can "collect rocks that

were formed… under that atmosphere." Why are scientists able to learn about the ancient atmosphere by studying the rocks that came into contact with the ancient atmosphere?

The scientists are able to get information from the rocks about the ancient atmosphere because the rocks have been in contact with it. By being in contact with the atmosphere, the rocks manage to get the gases from their atmosphere into their structure. Some rocks are better in providing this evidence than others, as it depends on how much a rock has been exposed to the atmosphere, as well as its structure, but still they have at least certain amount of elements that are good indicators about the composition of the ancient atmosphere, and to what kind of environment it was contributing.

How might an individual's own cells lead to false verdicts of guilt.
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer:

Through a circumstance known as "secondary transfer DNA", or "Touch DNA".

Explanation:

Most times when a crime is committed, DNA samples are obtained from surfaces in the scene where the crime was committed. There is a very huge possibility of picking up the DNA of someone who was never at the scene of the crime and this is a result of a condition known as Touch DNA.

Because we touch several objects which can be moved to different locations and touch people who are also always mobile, our DNA cells can find their ways to a crime scene where we had never physically been to. This can lead to false verdicts of guilt.

Catalase test is used to detect the presence of enzyme catalase.

Catalase is an enzyme that is formed by microorganism that lives in oxygen saturated environments so that there will be the break down of any toxic that comes with oxygen and hydrogen peroxide. This enzymes helps to differentiate catalase producing enzymes like staphylococci from bacteria that produce non-catalase like streptococci
