Sarcasm is a form of irony. It is when a person says the opposite of what they really mean. In option A, Beth does not want to go to the beach because she doesn't enjoy sitting in the sand and getting burnt by the sun. We know this because she compares the sand to dirt and being in the sun to a pig roasting at a barbeque. The other options are true statements. normally signifies the opposite, in order to ridicule something or someone. In
this case, the word “blessing” is an example of sarcasm, as World War can’t be
the blessing.
