Hi There!

Question - Cryptology, the study and use of secret codes, has been an important component of US military strategy since it was first used in the American Revolution to hide sensitive communications from British forces.

How does the author introduce the reader to code talkers?

Answer - by presenting an interesting fact

Why - The reason I say its option A is because the fact that it makes the most sense in a way that, the other options don't make any sense. Option B says telling an entertaining story when its not a story. Option C makes no sense because the first sentence dosen't contain a quotation. Option D makes no sense because the first sentence dosen't ask a question.

Hope This Helps :)

Cryptology....was first used in the American Revolution to hide sensitive communications from British forces.

So it is not a question a quotation nor a story but rather it is an interesting fact. The author introduce the reader to code talkers by presenting an interesting fact.

Based on the character of Rosa, what can the reader infer regarding the author's unstated meaning? A) The author wants the reade
Alona [7]

The correct answer is A) the author wants the reader to admire Rosa’s selflessness.

<em>Based on the character of Rosa, the reader can infer of the author’s unstated meaning that the author wants the reader to admire Rosa’s selflessness. </em>

We are referring to an excerpt of <em>“Saving the Thrift Store: A Drama</em>”, written by Lee Washington.

In the excerpt, Rosa is having a dialogue with Louis and Eddie. Rosa says “It is a shame that I am the youngest in my family, since I’d be happy to pass my old clothes to kids who wanted them”. She listens to her friends and she adds “That thrift store had a great selection of inexpensive clothes. Postponing a reopening is bad for the families that rely on that store.”

When reading those excerpts, based on the character of Rosa, the reader can infer of the author’s unstated meaning that the author wants the reader to admire Rosa’s selflessness.

ZanzabumX [31]

Answer:

Astronomers are telling people to be especially watchful this evening, as a rare event could be making a very special appearance. The release of energised particles from the sun, coupled with particularly helpful overnight conditions, is predicted to make the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) visible much further south than normal. Interviewed earlier today by Chris Ross, Channel Six’s science correspondent, Derwent University’s Professor Andrew Higgins told her that, "It's a once-in-a-decade opportunity that people really shouldn’t miss. Thanks to several fronts of high air pressure, the skies tonight will be particularly clear. Ill is over the moon comes the dawn."
