Answer:

The three types of information that Tyson's essays use to convey ideas and messages about black holes are:

1. Language that draws the user into the topic.

2. Ability to interact with the information.

3. Metaphors that help the user understand the information.

Explanation:

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a astrophysicist, but also a well-known science popularizer, which gives him the best of both worlds: on one hand, he can understand the scientific reason of the structure of the cosmos, and on the other hand, he has a skill for teaching others with simplicity those same complex reasons.

He normally gives lectures and conferences in which he effectively uses the option 5: <em>Humor to engage the user</em>, and he is very popular for making the audience laugh and enjoy his lectures, but in his essay does not use it as much. Otherwise, the option 3: <em>Access to information through multiple senses</em>, is not a type of information that represents his writing, for he uses more metaphors to explain something people can barely feel by their senses.

The essay in which Tyson convey ideas and messages about black holes is the one titled "Dead by Black Hole. And Other Cosmic Quandaries", published in 2007. This book is a compiled edition of some of his regular publications at the section <em>Universe</em> on the <em>Natural History Magazine, </em>that is aimed at general audience. So, his essay also has a purpose of explaining science to people that has little or no scientific background.

This is why is his essay, Tyson uses the option 1: Language that draws the user into the topic. The key basis of his writing is: <em>using language that most people can understand</em>, so that the audience can involve in the reading, for they are listening to familiar words.

Now, Tyson also uses the option 2: The ability to interact with the information. Based on that he is a scientist, he shows core theories and data to people, but <em>not as isolated facts,</em> instead he shows them with context, also make comparisons that can help catch the main implications. He interact with data so they mean something to the users.

And finally, the type of information that uses the most is the option 4: Metaphors to help the user understand the information. Tyson knows that he is explaining something that is not easy to understand, specially for people that does not have a scientific background, therefore he uses metaphors to make the information more understandable, for the metaphor is a figure of speech that <em>explains one thing with another by the emphasizing the one thing the two things have in common.</em> Tyson explain complex theories and data with day-to-day experiences by bringing out what they have in common.

explain what theme is developed by George’s attitude towards America and how that development unfolds.
dmitriy555 [2]

George is an intelligent and innovative young man who happens to be the slave of a cruel, petty one – Mr. Harris. George is talented and inventive. When he’s sent to work in a bagging factory, he invents a labor saving machine for cleaning hemp, which revolutionizes the way the factory works. Unfortunately, his "master" is jealous of George’s abilities and uses George’s intelligence as an excuse to punish and humiliate him. George functions in the novel as an example of a creative young man who would make a great citizen in a democratic society but who is kept down by the institution of slavery. His bitterness and anger about his situation, and his difficulty accepting Christianity, make him another important foil to Uncle Tom. For modern readers, George’s active rebellion is easier to understand than Tom’s more passive faith. The theme that id developed through George's attitude towards America is the questioning of slavery.

Match each line of dialogue to what it reveals about a character.
NikAS [45]

Answer:

"What island is it?" Rainsford asked. - This is the first time Rainsford has  made this journey .

"I've seen you pick off a moose  moving... at four hundred yards." - Rainsford is an excellent hunter.

"Who cares how a jaguar feels? - Rainsford does not sympathize  the animals he kills.

"It will be light in Rio," promised  Whitney - Whitney has been to Rio before.

Explanation:

The short story "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell tells the story of how a famed and experienced hunter became the victim of a much more dangerous man. The story also delves into the roles of the hunter and the hunted, and how the two roles are twisted in this story.

When Sanger Rainsford asked Whitney where they are, this shows that he is not familiar with the place and is his first time journeying to this place.

Whitney's statement of him having <em>"seen you pick off a moose moving"</em> shows how excellent Rainford is in his hunting skills.

Rainsford's statement of <em>"who cares how a jaguar feels"</em> shows his unsympathetic attitude towards the animals he hunts.

Whitney's prediction of <em>"it will be light in Rio"</em> shows he has been there before.

Generalizations, Conclusions, and Inferences (Part 1) Determine if each statement is a reasonable generalization that can be mad
mezya [45]

Inference is a logical conclusion based on the information provided, while generalization takes that conclusion and applies it to other similar situations. Based on those definitions, we can determine if each of the statements is a rasonable generalization or not.

"The sibling rivalry is due to the arrival of a newborn baby in the house" is neither an inference nor a generalization. There is no indication in the text of a new baby.

"The speaker is from a large family" cannot be inferred either, as the narrator only mentions one sibling.

"The speaker loves the brother" is a fair inference based on the text.  The narrator mentions that her brother means the world to her, so this statement is a logical conclusion.

"The brother gets into trouble often"  is not a reasonable inference nor generalizatino. The only information provided is that he insists on reading his sister's diary.

"The speaker believes others feel the same way as the speaker about their diaries" <em>is the only </em><em>reasonable generalization</em>. The narrator assumes that by telling her brother her diary is boring, he won't want to read it. That he is only interested in knowing her secrets. Therefore, she thinks others view diaries the same way she does.

Use the picture below to describe the concrete effects of globalization
klemol [59]

Explanation:

The image below shows some effects of globalization. In the last image we see a boat full of people, symbolizing the era of great sailing, whose aim was to discover new commercial routes beyond its territory. Therefore, through this image we can see that man has always been eager to explore new places and expand his business in search of profitability, this is what happens in the phenomenon of globalization.

Globalization is a phenomenon that has impacted human interactions and has occurred due to new technologies, ease of movement and communication, which has enabled man to seek business beyond his country.

We can also see in other images overpopulated cities, polluting factories and work teams, which demonstrates how globalization has strengthened industrialization, the search for people for job opportunities in major world metropolises and how there is a multicultural environment in organizations, where it is necessary team creativity and innovation so that the company is well positioned and stands out in this globalized scenario where there is a lot of competitiveness.
