Answer:

The poem itself is a metaphor from start to finish. The caged bird is representative of those who lack freedom.... everyone experiencing restrictions and oppression. The cage represents exactly what we'd believe, a form of imprisonment. The bird's song symbolizes the cries of freedom, and the combination of the two represents the need for every living thing to reach its full potential, something that cannot be done amid barriers and fear.

Answer:

This poem is an extended metaphor. Although the speaker doesn't mention any races, it is clear that she is showing how the freedoms allotted whites are diametrically opposed to those given to the blacks. In the first stanza, the speaker illustrates how the free bird, or white race, is untroubled. It also shows how the white race has the audacity to own and govern society unjustly. The speaker concludes'' (the free bird) dares to claim the sky". This shows how whites demonstrated discrimination and prejudice toward blacks. Unfortunately, this deplorable conduct was condoned in society.

If the general is also a Cossack, then wouldn't his characterization of Ivan also apply to him? Contrast this with your initial
kupik [55]

Hello. This question is about The Most Dangerous Game "by Richard Connell

Answer and Explanation:

The characterization that General Zaroff promotes of his servant Ivan can apply to himself, in parts and even General Zaroff himself agrees with this.

He claims that Ivan is a good servant and is very strong, but in addition to being deaf and dumb, he is wild and rude, this is the result of his race, since Ivan is a Cossack. After releasing this information, the general smiles and states that he is also a Cossack. With this, the general uses the characterization of Ivan for him, in parts. He shows that despite being a cultured and well-educated man, he belongs to the same race as Ivan, which makes him a wild man, inside. This is proven throughout history.
