Read this excerpt from "The World on Turtle's Back." These two brothers had creative powers, and with these powers they took cla

y and modeled it into animals. They used these animals to contend with one another. Each brother created a more powerful or more cunning animal than the next. They also created fruits, plants, and medicines for good and for evil. Finally, the right-handed twin made man. It is unknown whether or not the left-handed twin assisted in the creation of man. Man was the right-handed twin's favorite creation. How does this support the idea that "The World on Turtle's Back" is a creation myth? It explains the origin of people, animals, and plants. It describes the rivalry between the two brothers. It shows that animals and plants can represent good or evil. It confirms that man was the right-handed twin’s favorite animal.

In the given excerpt from "The Worl on Turtle's Back" we can see the description of how two brothers created animals, fruits, plants, medicines and man from clay, this story is clearly a myth because it explains the origin of people, animals, and plants.

Create an in-text citation for the following information. Be careful! Remember, your spacing and punctuation must be exact:
Gemiola [76]

Answer:

"Quote" (Good Housekeeping, 24).

Explanation:

In-text citations are inserted in the body of your paper to shortly emphasize the source of your information. Brief in-text citations point the reader to more complete information in the works cited list at the end of the paper. <u>The works cited list would look like this -->> "Environmentally Friendly Flooring." </u><em><u>Good Housekeeping</u></em><u>, Dec. 2011, p. 24.</u>

But as we need the in-text citation, we would put in parentheses the name of the magazine and the page where we quoted from -->> <u>"Quote" (Good Housekeeping, 24).</u>

I hope it helped you :)
