Answer: Third option is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of nickels and quarters = 104

Total amount from them = $22

Let the number of nickels be n

Let the quarters be q

So, First equation will be

n+q=104

Since we know that

value of nickels = 0.05 dollars

Value of quarters = 0.25 dollars

Second equation will be

0.05n+0.25q=\$22

So, there are two system of linear equation can be used to find the number of nickels and the number of quarters.

i.e.

n+q=104\\\\0.05n+0.25q=\$22

Using elimination we can find the value of n and q :

n+q=104\\\\0.05n+0.25q=22

0.05(n+q =104 )

⇒0.05n+0.05q=5.2-----------(3)

Now, from equation (2) and (3), we get,

0.05n+0.05q=5.2

0.05n+0.25q=22

(-)       (-)           (-)

------------------------------------

0          +0.2q= 16.8

                q=\frac{16.8}{0.2}\\\\q=84\\\\n+q=104\\\\n+84=104\\\\n=104-84\\\\n=20

Hence, third option is correct.

Let the number of nickels be n and that of quarters be q. Then
n + q = 104
0.05n + 0.25q = 22

What is the sum of 2/10 + 6/100
kogti [31]

Answer:

26/100 which is simplified to 13/50

Step-by-step explanation:

you have to get equal denominators so multiply 2/10 by 10 on top and bottom to get 20/100 then you can add 6/100 plus 20/100 which is 26/100 . denominators stay the same 26/100 can be simplified to 13/50

Art [367]
To solve this question, I did an equation:
0.75x + 1.20y = 120
0.75(95) + 1.20(35) = 120
Then multiply:
71.25 + 42 = 120
Now to check:
71.25 + 42 = 113.25
Answer: 120 - 113.25 = $6.75 Hope this helps

Len [333]
This item can be answered through the concept of fundamental principles of counting. In the first of the four digits, there are 10 possible digits. The same with all the other 3 places or digits of the code. That is,
                             n = 10 x 10 x 10 x 10
Giving us the answer of 10,000. Thus, there are 10,000 possible keys for the keyless entry.
