Now during the gametogenesis, each pair of chromosome will get separated in one gamete each.  

So, number of unpaired chromosomes = 4 unpaired chromosomes.  

The gametes are now haploid, i.e. Without paired chromosomes.  

Now, only 1 of the one pair of chromosomes will be carried inside a gamete,

Lets assume, the gene present in the cell chromosomes is heterozygote  

So,  there will be 2 possibilities.  

So, their probability will result as =2\times2= 4possibilities.

Then for 4 chromosomes would be 4^4=256 chromosomes.
