The earth magnetic field changes direction and its strength varies from year to year. This results in magnetic anomalies within a rock body as magnetic elements and minerals records the changing direction of the magnetic field.

As new magma is brought near the mid-oceanic ridge, the older ones are pushed backwards and they show a different magnetic field direction from the cooling magma. This is usually evident in the orientation of the magnetic minerals.

Natalka [10]

Answer: The environment changed suddenly from a shallow ocean setting to a river system.

Explanation: Changes seen in rock layers represent changes in Earth's local history. The rock layer stack overall shows a shallow ocean setting. But the youngest layer at the top was deposited by a river. This shows the geologist that the local environment changed suddenly from an ocean setting to a river system.

Which end of an earthworm contains an organ that can detect smells? Use observations from the lab to support your answer.Which e
mote1985 [20]

Answer:

Anterior end

Explanation:

You have a pretty good shot at guessing this, because the earthworm has very little going on at the posterior end except the anus. And you probably saw this in lab, too.

I've attached a picture of the earthworm anatomy. Worms can't smell in the strictest sense, but they can use their receptors as kind of a combo smell-taste thing, and those are located in the anterior end.

Human's and fungi have similar feeding habits.

1- They are both heterotrophic (unlike plants, algae, etc. )

This refers to the fact of generating energy by consuming elements in the ecosystems.

This means that both get energy by feeding on other organisms.
