The more I think about my parents' sadistic decision to send me to McClean’s, the more I wonder whether I harbor severe masochis

tic tendencies. I can't believe I'm actually contemplating wearing the hijab to a snotty prep school where you're seriously doomed to the non-cool list if you're one issue behind on the latest Teen Vogue fashion. I mean, hello, wake up and smell the Frappuccino, what am I doing being all holy and stuff when I know I’ve got more chance of getting away with a Kelly Osbourne look than I do covering my hair?
–Does My Head Look Big in This?,
Randa Abdel-Fattah

Which sentence best explains how the narrative tone reveals a unique perspective?

The narrator’s insecurity helps the reader understand her parents’ decision.
The narrator’s harsh internal dialogue helps the reader understand her struggles.
The heated point of view in the passage helps the reader see why women wear the hijab.
The feud between the narrator and her parents suggests to the reader a cultural bias.

In his short autobiographical essay, Sorrentino says, "I am writing this to emphasize the truth of this." Which of the following
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

The entire essay gives truthful facts about the author.

The essay is an example of Sorrentino's humour.

Explanation:

Sorrention says in his essay: "I'm writing this in the first person to emphasize the truth of these statements" and "..  Considering that I have been writing for thirty-two years, my bibliography is fairly short. "   These make  it evident that he talks by himself and he has to do so in the first person to sound reliable. He is very young and it seems that no one will talk about his works as a writer for the time being. Besides, there is not much to say about himself but just to mention all the books he has written so far. He sounds ironic but reliable.
