The term body image denotes our perception of our physical appearance and our feelings about it. People define their personal body image by the way they perceive their own reflection. It denotes how we feel about ourselves and the body we live in. Different personal and sociocultural factors have influence on our body image.

Answer:

There are several factor that influences how people define their personal body image. First, their auto perception, how they themselves plays an important rule to define self body image, if people see themselves in a negative way, their body image is gonna be wrong for them. So, from this we can deduct that body image is also defined by the self-esteem, how people emotionally see themselves, which is also important, because that's why people in obese condition or overweighted, they don't see any problem, because they see themselves good.

On the other hand, the environment influence the personal body image, but not necessarily affects how people perceive their body image, that perception is always from an emotional perspective, because we tend to be subjective people, we are subjects.

Therefore, self-esteem and auto-perception are two crucial factor.

Which nutrition patterns are common in the United States? Check all that apply.
Anika [276]

Answer:

 • Most Americans consume more than the recommended daily amount of sugar.
 • Americans eat about 20 percent of their meals in a car
 • Poor nutrition contributes to the rising cost of medical care in the United States.

Explanation:

According to the American Heart Association, in a day, 6 teaspoons of sugar for men and 9 teaspoons for women is the recommended quantity and this is a view supported by the World Health Organisation. Americans on average however, consume 17 teaspoons of sugar per day.

It is also estimated that 20% of meals eaten by Americans are eaten in the car. This has been put down to the fact that Americans are simply busy people who are always on the go and so have to be more efficient with time with one of the ways to do this being multitasking. This is why some people even shave in their cars on their way to work.

According to the Harvard School of Public Health, as of 2019, 20% of Medical costs spent on heart diseases and diabetes, are the result of an unhealthy diet. This is about $50 billion nationally. It is estimated that this figure will continue to rise unless Americans start consuming healthier foods such as nuts and seeds and seafood rich in Omega-3 fats.
