A list is sorted in ascending order if it is empty or each item except the last one is less than or equal to its successor. Defi

ne a predicate isSorted that expects a list as an argument and returns True if the list is sorted, or returns False otherwise. (Hint: For a list of length 2 or greater, loop through the list and compare pairs of items, from left to right, and return False if the first item in a pair is greater.)

Answer:

Predicates are function which takes one argument and after performing some checks it returns boolean value.

Explanation:

Java Code

import java.util.*;

import java.util.function.Predicate;

public class OrderList{

  public static void main(String []args) {

      Predicate<List<Integer>> predicate = (list)->{

          if(list.size()<=1){

              return true;

          }

          for(int i=0;i < list.size()-1; i++){

              if(list.get(i)>list.get(i+1)){

                  return false;

              }

          }

          return true;

      };

       List<Integer> list = Arrays.asList(1,3,4,5,6,7,8);

       System.out.println("Is List Sorted : "+predicate.test(list));

  }

}

Code Explanation

First of all define predicate, which takes list of integers as input.

First check whether list has 0 or 1 elements init, if yes then return true as one or zero element list is already sorted.

If elements in a list are greater then 1 then we started a for loop from 0 to list size minus one. As we are checking next index number in current index iteration.

If left pair item value is greater then its successor then if conditions execute and return false as the elements are not in sorted order.

Output

The above code output is

Is List Sorted :true

Base on the question, and in my further computation, the possible answers would be the following and I hope you are satisfied with my answer and feel free to ask for more.

- If you want to determine the Thevenin equivalent voltage and resistance without overloading the battery, then apply some known resistance

<span><span>RL</span><span>RL</span></span> and measure the output voltage as <span><span>VL</span><span>VL</span></span>. Measure the voltage without a load as <span><span>V<span>OC</span></span><span>V<span>OC</span></span></span>. The voltage divider equation tells us that

<span><span><span>VL</span>=<span>V<span>OC</span></span><span><span>RL</span><span><span>R<span>TH</span></span>×<span>RL</span></span></span></span><span><span>VL</span>=<span>V<span>OC</span></span><span><span>RL</span><span><span>R<span>TH</span></span>×<span>RL</span></span></span></span></span>

Solve for <span><span>R<span>TH</span></span><span>R<span>TH</span></span></span>, and you know that <span><span><span>V<span>TH</span></span>=<span>V<span>OC</span></span></span><span><span>V<span>TH</span></span>=<span>V<span>OC</span></span></span></span>.

Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Answer:

// The code segment is written in C++ programming language

// The code segment goes as follows

for (k = 0; k < nMembers; k++)

{

//check if memberID can be found in currentMembers

if (currentMembers[k] == memberID){

// If yes,

// assigns true to isAMember

isAMember = true;

k = nMembers;

}

else{

isAMember = false;

// If no

// assigns false to isAMember

}

}

// End of segment:

The following assumption were made in the code segment above.

There exists

1. An already declared and initialised int array currentMembers.

2. An already initialised int variable memberID

Line 3 initiates a loop to scan through the array

Line 6 checks for the condition below

If current element of array equals memberID then

It assigns true to isAMember and nMembers to k

Else

It assigns false to isAMember

Paper size refers to the size of the paper you will be printing your document on, while page margins refer to the outside area of a page that can be made bigger or smaller to fit content.

Launch the Page Setup dialog box from the Page Setup group; in the Margins section, enter the page margin values and click OK.

All the statements are correct.

Right-click and add to dictionary

Type the words onto the first page of the document, and click on the Header button to repeat it on all of the other pages
