The correct four answers are the following: A) annexed Korea. B) established a protectorate. D) ruled directly. E) establish a Japanese culture.

That is what Japan did to establish control in Korea.

Japan took control of Korea in 1910, after years of bloody confrontations. The Japanese Emperor ordered the prohibition of the Korean language in Korean schools and forced Korean people to be loyal to the Emperor. The Japanese tried to erase all the history, traditions and culture of Korea by burning more than 200,000 books and archives with Korean history.

Why does Winthrop believe that a Bill of Rights is essential in the constitution?
Andreas93 [3]

Anti-Federalist James Winthrop thinks that the Bill of Rights is important enough to be a part of the Constitution. He wrote several essays proposing that Bill of Rights should be included because it prevents the dominating majority on taking advantage of the minority who have little to no property and power against the elite. The non-inclusion of bill of rights may subject minorities to potential abuse from the authorities.

What is attributed to boosting college enrollment numbers from 50,000 students in 1870 to over 600,000
snow_tiger [21]

The correct answer is; The Morrill Acts of 1862 and 1890.

Further Explanation:

In the mid 1800's, colleges started accepting females to enroll and get degrees. This also helped to boost numbers in colleges. But it was the Morrill Acts that established the foundation for hundreds of thousands of students to enroll in college.

The Morrill Acts were part of a federal government initiative to give public land and federal money to create the land grand grants to build colleges. This allowed the middle class families to send their children or themselves to college. The first state to use the land grant funds was Iowa.

Compare and contrast the author’s depictions of Nicholas II and Vladimir Lenin. What do these depictions reveal about these hist
Vinvika [58]

Answer: The comparison of Nicholas II and Vladimir Lenin

Explanation Both the leaders were hungry for power and came onto to become leaders by promising good for the people but the similarity didn't catch one's eye but how different to each historical figure was has been highlighted many a time.

  • Nicholas II was czar and hence being born into a royal family made him an obvious leader whereas Lenin gained prominence in the party and came into power thus.
  • Lenin had the willingness to lead Russia used the Bolshevik party to do so, however the Tsar was happy to be with his family and pets and not a bit interested in leadership.
  • Nicholas II and his entire family were assassinated whereas Lenin died of natural causes way later.
  • Lenin was the more brutal of the two and used his power to get what he wanted even if it meant  torturing or murdering. here Nicholas made some concessions.
  • The military responsibility was on Nicholas II during his regime but when Lenin took over he would delegate it.

Finally, none of them actually cared for the poor, the oppressed were further in distress when these two came to power.
