Answer:

The approximate economic order quantity is 110 units.

Explanation:

A = annual demand = 10,000 units per year

C = unit cost of pot = $1000

S = Ordering cost per order = $150

I = Annual carrying cost (%) = 25% of unit cost

H = Annual carrying cost ($) = 0.25*C

   = 0.25*$1000

    = $250 per unit per year

Optimal order quantity is obtain from the EOQ formula.

Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) is given as follows:

Q = \sqrt{\frac{2*A*S}{H}}

Q = \sqrt{\frac{2*10,000*150}{250}}

Q = \sqrt{\frac{3000000}{250}}

Q = \sqrt{12000} = 109.545

Q = 110 units per order

Therefore, The approximate economic order quantity is 110 units.

Which statement about depreciation is false? A. Depreciation is a process of allocating the cost of an asset to expense over it
tatyana61 [14]

Answer:

The correct answer is letter "D": Depreciation should not be recorded in years in which the market value of the asset has increased.

Explanation:

Depreciation indicates how much the value of the asset has been used. It also aims to match the cost of the asset to the income that the asset helps the company to earn. Used as an income tax deduction, the depreciation calculation provides businesses with an annual allowance for the use and deterioration of tangible assets such as machinery, equipment, and buildings.

<em>Depreciation is recorded throughout all the useful life of an asset until its disposal.</em>

Bess wrote four checks last month, and these were the only transactions for her checking account. According to her check registe
Wittaler [7]

Answer: $184.34

Bess issued four  checks with amounts $175.17, $175.53, $175.35,and $184.34. With the total amount she issued, she expected her balance based on her cash register to be $869.96, but as per bank statement, her balance is $1054.13.

To get the amount of check which is not cleared yet, we have to deduct the balance in the cash check register from that of the bank statement:

$1054.13-$869.96 =184.17

$184.34 is the best answer because it is the last he wrote and the discrepancy of 0.17 may be due to some bank charges Bess had not recorded.

Consider the following projects, X and Y where the firm can only choose one. Project X costs $600 and has cash flows of $400 in
Maksim231197 [3]

Answer:

Neither any of the projects should be accepted

Explanation:

In this question, we have to use the net present value formula which is shown below:

Net present value = Present value of all years cash flows  - Initial investment

where,

The Present value of cash inflows is calculated by applying the discount rate which is presented below:

For this, we have to first compute the present value factor which is computed by a formula

= 1 ÷ (1 +rate) ∧ number of year

number of year = 0

number of year = 1

Number of year = 2

So,

Rate = 25%

For year 1 = 0.800 (1 ÷ 1.25) ∧ 1

For year 2 = 0.640 (1 ÷ 1.25) ∧ 2

Now, multiply this present value factor with yearly cash inflows

So

For Project A,

The present value of year 1 = $400 × 0.800 = $320

The present value of year 2 = $400 × 0.640 = $256

and the sum of all year cash inflow is $576

So, the Net present value would be equal to

= $576 - $600 = -24

And,

For Project B,

The present value of year 1 = $500 × 0.800 = $400

The present value of year 2 = $275 × 0.640 = $176

and the sum of all year cash inflow is $576

So, the Net present value would be equal to

= $576 - $600 = -24

Since in both the projects, the NPV is negative.

Hence, neither any of the projects should be accepted

9966 [12]

Answer: democratic leadership

Carmen stated a possible solution that was increasing tuition fee and then Carmen said that it should be considered. This means that she did not impose it that that is the only solution and that has to be done in any way, if she did then it would’ve been autocratic leadership.

Carmen left some room for discussion and this means it is a democratic approach in leadership.
