Answer:

2-Water helps maintain body temperature.

3-Diuretics like alcohol and some medications can cause the body to lose water.

Explanation:

Dehydration occurs when the amount of what loss is more than the amount taken. And we lose water in many ways therefore taking water on a regular basis is important to replace the fluids lost and keep the body functioning.

Water Maintains the Body Temperature

During high temperature, the body cools itself naturally by sweating and by sweating a large amount of water is lost. So when enough water is not taken, there will be less production of sweating thereby causing the body's temperature to rise.

Alcohol Causes Water Loss

Taking excess alcohol can result to dehydration because the hormone called anti-diuretic (while alcohol is diuretic) is used to reabsorb water by the body and alcohol in the body depletes the production of this hormone. The body loses more water than normal with a reduced amount of anti-diuretic in the body. Excessive intake of alcohol can also cause vomiting, which depletes the body of fluids and can cause further dehydration.

Answer:

Water helps to maintain body temperature.

Diuretics like alcohol and some medications can cause the body to lose water.

Caffeinated drinks like coffee or tea cannot count towards an individual's daily fluid needs.

Foods like bread or crackers do not contribute to total water intake.

Explanation:

Water helps to maintain body temperature. Sweat is the main means by which water pevents the body from overheating whrn the temperature is too high.

Diuretics like alcohol and some medications can cause the body to lose water. This is because their first effect is to increase urination.

Caffeinated drinks like coffee or tea cannot count towards an individual's daily fluid needs.

Foods like bread or crackers do not contribute to total water intake.

Which of the following statement(s) is/are TRUE about Red Blood Cells (RBCs)? a) A normal RBC has a nucleus RBCs' production is
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

RBCs' production is controlled by erythropoietin.

Mature RBCs are released into the bloodstream after approximately seven days RBCs are produced in the bone marrow

Explanation:

The hormone erythropoietin is produced and released in the bloodstream by peritubular interstitial cells of kidneys. The function of erythropoietin is to increase the number of the precursors of red blood cells and thereby to stimulate the production of red blood cells in the bone marrow. When the oxygen supply to body cells is reduced, the hormone erythropoietin stimulates the development of proerythroblasts into reticulocytes and thereby increases the RBC production.

RBCs are produced by the process of erythropoiesis and take about seven days to become mature and to be released in circulation to serve the function of oxygen delivery. The maturation of RBCs also includes the loss of most of the organelles such as the nucleus and mitochondria to accommodate hemoglobin protein. The life span of circulating RBCs is about 100-120 days.

Which populations would benefit the most from the presence of decomposers?
Dafna11 [192]
I'm guessing there was answer choices to this problem? regardless I think I know the answer to it. Plant populations would benefit the most of the presence of decomposers due to the fact that decomposers release nutrients into the soil when they break down things.<span />
