Answer: 41.5 OMGs is the predicted mean cuteness in the next generation.

Explanation:

Cuteness is a way to measure relative ability of individuals with a certain genotype to reproduce successfully.

Mean cuteness is given as the summation of individual cuteness. Mean cuteness also changes in the next generation.

The mean cuteness of the current herd was given as 39.7 OMGs and after 16 individuals were chosen, the mean was given as 41.5.

This implies that there was a change already as mean cuteness will either increase or decrease in the next generation after selection. Here, 39.7 increased to 41.5 .

The predicted mean cuteness is therefore 41.5 OMGs.

CAM photosynthesis limits CO2 fixation to nighttime hours in order to (A) allow water to enter leaf spaces during the daylight h
bixtya [17]

Answer:

(B) open stomata only at night, limiting water loss because of heat and low humidity.

Explanation:

CAM plants are found in the regions characterized by very hot and dry environmental conditions. These plants reduce the water loss through transpiration by exhibiting CAM photosynthesis.

They open the stomata during night time when the air is cooler and rich in moisture. They take in CO2 during night time and fix it into the oxaloacetate which in turn is converted into malate and is stored in the vacuoles.

During day time, stomata remain closed to prevent water loss and the CO2 trapped during night time (released by decarboxylation of malate) enter the Calvin cycle.

The isotope silicon-32 decays into phosphorus-32. Silicon-32 has a half-life of 170 years and can be used to find the age of roc
Vsevolod [243]
The correct answers are B & C. Silicon-32 is the parent isotope, which decays into phosphorus-32 (daughter isotope). The silicon-32 amount is halved every 170 years, so we can use this to determine how old the rock is. The amount of phosphorus-32 increases over time, but it is not equal to the amount of silicon-32.

The action potential propagates along the sarcolemma. as the action potential spreads down the t tubules of the triads, voltage-
Ganezh [65]
It permits calcium to leave the sarcoplasmic reticulum and enter the cytosol. During muscle contraction, the binding of acetylcholine initiates an excitatory impulse, which is transmitted to the deep of the muscle via T tubules. T tubules are the invaginations of cell membranes of muscle cells (sarcolemma). When the action potential travel down the t-tubules, they change shape and allow the calcium ions to enter into the sarcoplasm from the sarcoplasmic reticulum.
