You and your friends have your own business. You want to put an ad in the local paper. The cost is $2.25 per square inch. Your a

d is 6 inches by 8 inches. How much will the ad cost?
Answer:
$108.00

Explanation:

You can solve this problem by finding the area of the rectangular advertisement, using the formula: A = b * h. Once you have the area in square inches, you can multiply by the cost per square inch.

Which pairs of rectangles are similar polygons?<br><br> Select each correct answer.
oee [108]
The corrects answers are B and D for this one.

Since you divide the same side for both the the rectangles on both parts and if the division statements are equaled, then they are similar.

For example;

Answer B.
50 / 10 = 5
and
30 / 6 = 5

Answer D.
7.5 / 2.5 = 3
and
4.5 / 1.5 = 3

Since they both equal the same for both of the rectangles for the answers individually, they are similar polygon rectangles.

Hope this helps!

The angle Johnny holds his pen on paper creates a linear pair. The measure of one angle is 13x+7. The measure of the second angl
lisov135 [29]

we know that

Angles in a linear pair are supplementary angles

So

Let

A-------> the first angle

B------> the second angle

A+B=180\\ ----> equation 1

A=13x+7\\ B=2A-1=B=26x+13

Substitute the values of A and B in the equation 1

13x+7+26x+13=180\\ 39x=180-20\\ x=\frac{160}{39}

\frac{160}{39}=4.10\ degrees

therefore

the answer is

the value of x is 4.10\ degrees

What method would you choose to solve the equation 2x^2-7=9? explain why you chose this method.
Nikolay [14]

Answer:

2.87

Step-by-step explanation:

2x^2-7=9

2x^2=9+7

2x^2/2=16/2

(square root)x^2=(square root)8

x=2.87

I used this method because I don't know any other method.

For ΔABC, ∠A = 4x - 10, ∠B = 5x + 10, and ∠C = 7x + 20. If ΔABC undergoes a dilation by a scale factor of 1 3 to create ΔA'B'C'
VLD [36.1K]
We know that the angles of a triangle sum to 180°.  For ΔABC, this means we have:
(4x-10)+(5x+10)+(7x+20)=180

Combining like terms,
16x+20=180

Subtracting 20 from both sides:
16x=160

Dividing both sides by 16:
x=10
This means ∠A=4*10-10=40-10=30°; ∠B=5*10+10=50+10=60°; and ∠C=7*10+20=70+20=90.

For ΔA'B'C', we have
(2x+10)+(8x-20)+(10x-10)=180

Combining like terms,
20x-20=180

Adding 20 to both sides:
20x=200

Dividing both sides by 20:
x=10

This gives us ∠A'=2*10+10=20+10=30°; ∠B'=8*10-20=80-20=60°; and ∠C'=10*10-10=100-10=90°.

Since the angle are all congruent, ΔABC~ΔA'B'C' by AAA.
