Answer:

If a limit on the number of doctors is set below the current one, this would result in an overflow of doctors and nowhere to place them. This would result in unemployment. The current doctors would have to compete for jobs that are limited. Unemployment can lead to a lot of other social and economic problems.

Answer: 3)Higher wages for existing and future doctors

Options: 1)Lower wages for existing and future doctors

2)Higher wages for existing doctors

3)Higher wages for existing and future doctors

4)The cap would have no impact on wages for doctors

Explanation: A permanent cap on the number of resident medical residents which will in turn put a permanent cap on the number of licensed doctors will limit the number of medical doctors in the U.S. If this were set below the current number of doctors, this will lead to an increase in wages for existing doctors as well as future doctors.

Setting a ceiling on the quantity of a good or service which is below the equilibrium results in higher prices, in this case the wages of doctors.

Caps are used in limiting prices and quantities but but when used in limiting quantities, it may have adverse effects on prices for consumers. An example of when price ceilings are effective is rent. Quantity caps are usually used by cartels to limit total quantity available to the market.

VladimirAG [237]

Answer:

The total overhead variance in hours taken is 3,600 hours

The total overhead cost variance is $1,110

Explanation:

The variance is about the different between budget/ standard and actual figures.

Standard hours allowed for the work done is 22,200 hours; and the predetermined overhead rate is $5.75 per direct labor hour. So total cost budgeted for work done is $127,650 = $5.57 x 22,200 hours

The total overhead variance in hours taken  = standard hours of 22,200 - actual direct labor hours of 18,600 = 3,600 hours

The total overhead cost variance  = standard cost - actual cost = $127,650  - $126,540 = $1,110

Answer:

Leave the price alone. Although it may lack some of the features that competitors’ models have, the Boss brand is well-recognized and well-respected in the market

Explanation:

You chose to lower the price to $359.That was the best choice.During the maturity stage of the product life cycle, increased competition eventually forces price cutting, and market share leadership may outweigh profit as a pricing objective, so this is a good option. However, it would take some research to determine whether the company can still make a profit at this price.

Neporo4naja [7]

Answer:

$20 million

Explanation:

The computation of the ending inventory if FIFO is used

= LIFO reserve + Ending inventory based on LIFO inventory

= $3 million + $17 million

= $20 million

We simply added the LIFO reserve and LIFO ending inventory so that FIFO ending inventory can be computed. Hence, we take all the items for the computation part.

Darian has decided to attend an out-of-state public four-year university. His expected expenses are shown in the table. Category
Marysya12 [62]
The answer is $91,500.
Working:
Total expenses per year = 18900+7650+1475+2350 = $30,375
Expenses less of grant per year = $30,375- 7500= $22,875 (this represents his annual expenditure on college with the grant)
To find out his expenditure for all four years of college = $22,875 x 4 = $91,500.
