Answer:

Throughout the text, Thoreau uses repetition, particularly parallel structure. Example:

"Simplify, simplify"

Explanation:

Thoreau tends to use embedded repetition to emphazise a point, as urging the readers to stop burying themselves in never-ending impossible tasks and simplify their lives with: "Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity!", or in paragraph 2: maybe creating a mantra-like urging, using also derivatives of words: "live, "life": Simplify, simplify".

mestny [16]

I got B, C and D.

Let's go through the process of elimination and my explanation for my answers.

First A, with Stem you don't need to work good with customers because you are doing science, math, technology etc. Working good with customers wouldn't need to be a requirement. B. You will need to know how to work in laboratories, especially if you're going to be in science. Science stem usually has laboratories for scientists to do there discoverys on. C. Technology can be another job for stem careers, they can learn how to code and do other technology stuff. That would be a requirement while working for a Technology career in stem. D. Let's say you were working for a science career, you would need to analyze data to get accurate data stets. It would be a skill needed for that. E. Developing Bridges is something that would not be needed to practice or knowing how to do. Yes, Engineering could be a carrer but it would not just be needing to build a Bridge, you would need much more skill than that. F. I want you to give that one a try, that one is a tricky one. Let's find it out together. So, you need to know how to design products for Engineering, right? But is that one of the main skills for working? Find that one out and let me know what you get.

Recall our example of an investment of $100,000 in research that yields a pioneering invention that has no commercial value, and
maria [59]

Answer:

Firm A is uniquely situated to the pioneering research and firm B is uniquely situated to application development. There are significant differences arising from broad patent law and narrow patent law. Firm A conducting pioneering research and Firm B conducting development application in this situation the incentive problem is solved when transaction cost is zero. When the transaction cost is zero the breadth of the patent will not matter to the economic efficiency So long as the can bargain with each other. The bargain between inventors is cost-less and makes efficient contracts.

When the transaction cost obstructs the bargaining between the suppliers of pioneering research of and development of application problem arises. The solutions to the problem are lubricating bargaining and allocate rights to the firm who values the most.

Patent protection for the pioneering inventions should be broader for the little standalone value. In contrast patent protection for pioneering invention should be narrower for large standalone value.

Hence the above difference lies in investment from broader patent law and that of the narrower patent law.

Beth saves $2,500 a year from age 25 until age 34 (inclusive) and invests the money in an account earning ten percent annually.
agasfer [191]

Answer:

False

Bill will have less than Beth

Explanation:

let us compare the amounts accumulated by the two individuals at age 65 to see which is more.

Money accumulated by Bill at age 65:

Since bill saves $2500 a year for 30 years, amount saved at the end of 30 years = 2500 X 30 = $75000.

Money accumulated by Beth at age 65:

Beth saves $2,500 a year from age 25 until age 34: Amount saved = 2500 X 9 = $22500

Invests the money in an account earning ten percent annually for 31 years.

Assuming it was at a simple interest rate,

The interest at the end of the 31st year will be:

Interest = \frac{P\times R\times Time}{100}= \frac{22500\times 10\times 31}{100}= 69,750

Therefore total amount at age 65 = $22, 500 + 69750 = $92,250.

∴ This shows that Bill will have less money than Beth. Primarily due to the fact that he started investing at a lot later time than Beth.

Grossnickle Corporation issued 20-year, noncallable, 7.5% annualcouponbonds at their par value of $1,000 one year ago. Today, th
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

current price of the bond is $1,232.15

Explanation:

given data

time N = 20 year

annual coupon bonds = 7.5%

future value = $1,000

interest rate = 5.5%

NPER = 19 year

solution

we will use here Present value formula to get current price of the bond.

so here PMT will be

PMT = future value × rate

PMT = 1000 × 7.5 %

PMT = $75

so we use here formula in excel that is

= -PV(Rate,NPER,PMT,FV,type)

put here value and we get

after solving we get current price of the bond is $1,232.15
