Educational psychologists investigate the impact of different types of instruction on learning. In one study, researchers taught

a math lesson to 9th-graders using the "Inventing to Prepare for Learning (IPL)" instructional cycle. A second group of students received traditional "tell and practice" instruction. After the lessons, both groups studied a worked example of a math problem on their own. Then they took a test that included problems like the worked example. The journal Cognition and Instruction published the results in 2004. Pick the best description of this study: Group of answer choices an observational study to make an estimate or a claim about a population an observational study of an association between two variables. an experiment to establish a cause-and-effect relationship between two variables

Answer:

An observational study of an association between two variables.

Explanation:

In the given scenario, it is an observational study of an association between two variables. The variables being :

 • Explanatory variable (independant variable / predictor variable) may explain or influence changes in a response variable.
 • Response variable (dependant variable) measures an outcome of a study.

Observational study observes individuals and records variables but doesn't attempt to influence the response (does not impose a treatment). It allows the researcher to directly observed the behavior of inteest rather than rely on the subject's self-descriptions (Survey) thus allowing the researcher to study the subject in its natural environment, thus removing the potentiallybased effect of the unnatural laboratory setting on the subject's performance.

katovenus [111]
Geographic location is definitely one of those factors. I live in Europe, and have lived there my entire life, as my parents have before me, and their ancestors, so I believe that those people who decided to move here in Europe would definitely do that because of the location. I am surrounded by many important European countries and my country itself has an abundance of everything.

This takes me to the second reason, which are the resources - my country is rich in many natural resources, which my ancestors would definitely want to have around because where there are resources, there are jobs and life in general.

alexgriva [62]

Answer:Five W's and how to create reader's profile.

Explanation:

These questions are crucial for the person to understand the needs of their readers.

When you write a paper you want to ensure that it relate to your readers and they can also relate to what you have written .

If this is not done properly one risks writing a paper that is only focused on their own personal ideas and it won't serve the purpose they may have intended since readers will not be interested in reading that paper.

antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer:

This illustrates the participants' cognitive flexibility.

Explanation:

Cognitive flexibility refers to the brain's ability to go from one concept to another, to move from one thought to another.

In this case, the students' cognitive flexibility can be seen once they are allowed to discuss the problem together and help one another. We can see their flexibility because their brain is able to take into consideration the others' points of view and is able to transition between one's individual thoughts into others.
