Answer:

Adrenal Insufficiency

Explanation:

adrenal insufficiency, also called adrenocortical insufficiency or hypocortisolism ia a condition when the body's adrenal glands cannot make important hormones that your body uses for some of its most basic functions.

Your adrenal glands have two jobs. The first is to make adrenaline, a hormone your body creates in times of stress. But the more important job is making two steroid hormones, cortisol and aldosterone.

  • Cortisol also helps your body deal with stress.
  •    Controls your blood pressure and your heart rate
  •    Controls how your immune system deals with viruses, bacteria, and other threats
  •    Puts more sugar in your bloodstream to give you more energy
  •    Adjusts how your body breaks down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats

<em>Aldosterone</em> help keeps the sodium and potassium in your blood balanced, which helps control your blood pressure and the balance of fluids in your body.

Pie

Answer:

The explanation for the aggression is consistent with the social learning theory by Albert Bandura.

Explanation:

The psychologist Albert Bandura was interested on the basis of human interaction and made the famous <em>Bobo doll experiment. </em>

The experiment consisted on testing the imitation influence, specially of aggression behavior, in two groups of children.<em> </em>The first group was in a non-aggressive environment. The kids of the second group watched several times their teacher kicking and hitting, also insulting, a Bobo doll (an inflatable toy with painted image of a doll). In both groups, after spending some time in their respective environment, the teacher gave them the Bobo doll. The results showed that most of the kids, in the second group (with the aggressive environment) were more liable to also kicked and hit the toy, as seen with the teacher; while, on the other hand, most kids of the first group were not.

Based on this experiment, prof. Bandura developed the social learning theory that supports that, both children and adults learn and develop disposition to do certain things by imitation, based on the behavior that they observe in others. Prof. Bandura emphasizes that aggression is a very imitable behavior.

This is why the explanation given by Johnny's parents about his behavior is consistent with the social learning theory, because they are recognizing violent behavior in the video games that Johnny constantly watches and plays. So, his parents are saying that he is acting aggressively because he is imitating the behavior shown and experienced in the video games.

Which ideas or situations are consistent with the concept of free enterprise? Check all that apply.
irina [24]

I believe the answer is:

1) Consumers overwhelmingly prefer one sandwich shop to another.

3) A hair stylist decides to reduce prices on his services.

4) A worker at a factory decides to take another job for higher pay.

6) A business owner decides to offer a new product for sale.

In the concept of free enterprise, the government would have little to no influence over the economy. Which means that things such as price of the product, the type of product that being used, and ownership of assets would belong to the people in the private sectors.

The U.S. Constitution of 1789 empowered Congress to regulate interstate commerce. Which selection below is true for the Articles
const2013 [10]

Answer:

The correct answer is A. The Articles of Confederation did not grant Congress the power to regulate interstate commerce.

Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation were the first government document, or Constitution, of the United States. They were written in the summer of 1776 and taken over by the Second Continental Congress on November 15, 1777, after one year of debate. In practice, they served as the de facto system of government used by Congress until the Articles final ratification on March 1, 1781.

The Articles of Confederation laid down the rules of operation of the United States. The Confederacy could wage war, negotiate diplomatic agreements, deal with the problems of Western territories, spend money and borrow within and outside the States. On the other hand, the impossibility to determine taxes and regulate interstate commerce was a major shortcoming. The second weak point was the principle of one state, one vote. Larger states were expected to contribute more but had only one vote.

Originally, the intention was only a weak central government, which was supposed to rule, especially in an emergency. But the end of the war and the new priorities that emerged clearly showed many of the shortcomings of the Articles. They were replaced by the much stronger Constitution after ratification on June 21, 1788.

Mrs. Nguyen agrees with the following statement: As I get older, things are better than I thought they d be. Mrs. Nguyen s self-
marishachu [46]

Answer: a) is an example of stereotype threat

Explanation:

A stereotype threat is <em>when people might conform to stereotypes about their social groups</em> (in this case, the social group of "older people").

Conforming to this stereotype can be risky, because it might cause certain social groups to <em>"underperform"</em>, to perform less than their actual potential. It's good that Mrs. Nguyen has formed her own opinion about getting older and <em>she hasn't submitted to the general perception of about "getting older". </em>
