Answer:

15.5 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Patty is building a rope ladder tree house she needs two 4 foot pieces of rope for the sides of the ladder.

She needs 6 pieces of rope each 15 inches long for the steps.

Question asked:

How many feet of rope does patty need to make the ladder ?

Solution:

She needs for the sides of the ladder = Two 4 foot pieces of rope

                                                                = 2 \times 4 feet = 8 feet

She needs for the steps of the ladder = 6 pieces of 15 inches long rope

                                                               = 6 \times 15 inches = 90 inches

Convert 90 inches into feet:-

12 inches = 1 feet

1  inches = \frac{1}{12} \ feet

90 inches = \frac{1}{12} \times90=\frac{90}{12} =7.5\ feet

Patty needs total rope = 8 feet + 7.5 feet

                                     = 15.5 feet

Thus, Patty needs 15.5 feet of rope to make the ladder.

this doesn't really work, so I will put 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 instead of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and do the same thing

now I get

y=-25.31428571x+51603.54286

y=-25.3x+51603.5

now, lets use computer:

y=-25.3(543)+51603.5

y=37865.6

round to the biggest whole number:

y=37866

so, year 37866

Compute E(X) for the following random variable X : X=Number of tosses until all 10 numbers are seen (including the last toss) by
julsineya [31]

Answer:

For 10 tosses we have that E(X)=10

Therefore E(i)= 1/10 +2/10 +3/10....10/10

This implies that 40/10=E(i)

Therefore E(10) =40/10

= 4.
