Answer:

d. $1,600 less than under absorption costing.

Explanation:

The computation of the carrying value on the balance sheet of the ending inventory of finished goods under variable costing is shown below:

But before that first we have to determine the unit cost which is

Unit fixed manufacturing overhead

= $96,320 ÷ 6,020

= $16

Now the difference is

= Unit fixed manufacturing overhead × Change in inventory in units

= $16 × (6,020 units - 5,920 units)

= $1,600 less than under absorption costing.

Answer: a. It merely conducted some activity outside of Alaska and that activity took place through a website.

Explanation:

CalmDown can use the defence that all it did was to conduct an activity through it's website and this happened to be outside Alaska.

As such the company is still bound by the state that it is registered in which in this case would seem to be in Alaska. They are not to be bound by the laws of another jurisdiction from the one they are registered to if the activity was done on the internet.

Marcus should therefore try to bring action against them in Alaska if he can.

harina [27]

Answer:

23.68%

Explanation:

The computation of the cost of not taking a cash discount is shown below:-

Cost of not taking a cash discount = [Discount percentage ÷ (100% - Disc.%)] × (360 ÷ (Final due date - Discount period))

= (2% ÷ 98%) × (360 ÷ (50 - 19))

= 2.04% × 11.61

= 23.68%

Therefore for computing the cost of not taking a cash discount we simply applied the above formula.

Sabina makes $2,000 per month. She spends $300 on credit card payments and $450 on an auto loan. Does she have excessive debt?
lapo4ka [179]
She does not have an excessive debt because of her debt-to-income ratio lower than 42 percent. 42% is a limit of good average debt to income ratio and Sabina's debt to income ratio has not yet exceeded that limit. The debt to income ratio can be calculated by dividing her total debt by her total income which results in 37.5% (($300+$450)/$2000 = 37.5%).
