Answer:

e) the name failed to suggest the product benefits.

Explanation:

International Business Machine (IBM) is an American computer company that is well known for its computers and computing devices.

The launch of PCjr had low sales most probably because the name failed to suggest the product benefits. Prospective customers failed to find out any of the product benefits from the name. When IBM made the PCjr public, it was meant to be a cheaper alternative to the more successful PC and because of the brand name it was given "PCjr", customers were at a loss if the product was very inferior to the PC and as such were not convinced to buy the product.

The PCjr was also expensive for its specifications and had 512kb memory which wasn't sufficient to run some applications within the machine such as word processing.

Your company plans to borrow $12 million for 12 months, and your banker gives you a stated rate of 21 percent interest. Calculat
mina [271]

Answer:

The correct answer is 23.86%.

Explanation:

According to the scenario, the given data are as follows:

Loan amount = $12,000,000

Time period = 12 months

Rate of interest = 21%

compensating balance = 12%

So we can calculate the effective rate of interest by using following method:

Effective rate of interest = (Loan amount × Interest Rate ) ÷ Loan amount × (1 – compensating balance )

By putting the value, we get:

= ( $12,000,000 × 0.21) ÷ ($12,000,000 × (1-0.12)

= 0.2386 or 23.86%

rodikova [14]

Explanation:

CEO of a local alternative energy company is engaged in the process of developing a list of questions that will be used to evaluate her company's internal situation. An internal analysis looks at the factors that are within the organization such as the strengths and weaknesses of the organization. Some typical areas that are considered during the internal analysis are the financial resources like the funding and investment opportunities, physical resources like the company's location, facilities and equipment, and the human resources like the employees, and the target audiences. In the options given above, every option tackles the company's internal situation except for "Is our company competitively stronger or weaker than key rivals?" This question is not meant to assess the internal situation of the company as the question is evaluating the competition involved in the business while comparing other companies to Angie's comoanv.

Raiman's Shoe Repair produces custom-made shoes. When Mr. Raiman produces 12 pairs per week, the marginal cost of the 12th pair
Anarel [89]

Answer:

I would advise Mr. Raiman to reduce the quantity of output produced.

Explanation:

Mr. Raiman produces 12 pairs of shoes per week.

The marginal cost incurred in producing the 12th pair is $84.

The marginal revenue earned from the 12th pair is $70.

The marginal cost is greater than marginal revenue. This means that Mr. Raiman is having a loss.

In order to maximize profits, he should produce at the point where the marginal cost is equal to marginal revenue.

So, I would suggest him to reduce the output to the level where marginal cost is equal to marginal revenue.
