Two parallel wires carry a current I in the same direction. Midway between these wires is a third wire, also parallel to the oth

er two, which carries a current 0.5 I, but in the direction opposite from the first two wires. Two more wires with 0.5 I, in the same direct as the third wire, are placed the same distance as the third wire but on either side of the first two wires. In which direction are the net forces on the outer wires?

Answer:

[ Find the attached file ]

First i draw a figure showing the condition, I had taken attractive force as +ve and repulsive force as - ve and thereafter calculating net force on outer left wire due to other wires, net force comes out to be - ve which tells us that force is repulsive, hence direction of force is away from wire as shown in figure.

Answer:

Force is repulsive hence direction of force is away from wire

Explanation:

The first thing will be to draw a figure showing the condition,

Lets takeI attractive force as +ve and repulsive force as - ve and thereafter calculating net force on outer left wire due to other wires, net force comes out to be - ve which tells us that force is repulsive, hence direction of force is away from wire as shown in figure in the attachment.

In at least 150 words, discuss how Chang's use of personification, metaphor, or connotation express one his themes in "Garden of
Kay [80]
Poet Kuangchi Chang did not remain in China long enough to be "re-educated." Following the Communist takeover he fled to the United States. His poem "Garden of My Childhood" describes China before the revolution as a peaceful, idyllic garden with a violent horde rapidly approaching. A vine, the wind, and the sea are each personified, and each beckons for him to run. It is not until "eons later," when he is "worlds away," that his "running is all done," and he finds himself at his destination: another garden, just like the one he had left behind.

In what state must matter exist for fusion reactions to take place
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

Plasma

Explanation:

For a fusion reaction to take place, there must be conditions in which the particles have extreme thermal kinetic energies, in this way the collisions that cause the nuclear fusion are generated. Therefore, it is necessary to reach very high temperatures, in which the state of matter will necessarily be plasma.

The magnetic field around a current-carrying wire is ________proportional to the current and _________proportional to the distan
PSYCHO15rus [73]

Answer:Thus, The magnetic field around a current-carrying wire is directly proportional to the current and inversely proportional to the distance from the wire. If the current triples while the distance doubles, the strength of the magnetic field increases by one and half (1.5) times.

Explanation:

Magnetic field around a long current carrying wire is given by

B=\frac{\mu _o I}{2\pi r}

where B= magnetic field

           \mu _o= permeability of free space

           I= current in the long wire and

           r= distance from the current carrying wire

Thus, The magnetic field around a current-carrying wire is directly proportional to the current and inversely proportional to the distance from the wire.

Now if I'=3I and r'=2r then magnetic field B' is given by

B'=\frac{\mu _oI'}{2\pi r'}=\frac{\mu _o3I}{2\pi 2r}=1.5B

Thus If the current triples while the distance doubles, the strength of the magnetic field increases by one and half (1.5) times.

Before the student releases the cart by cutting the tinsel string, what forces are acting on the cart?
Naya [18.7K]

Answer: TENSION and WEIGHT

Explanation:

Force experienced by the spring is called TENSION while the WEIGHT is the gravitational pull on the body towards the earth surface. Therefore the forces acting on the cart are TENSION and WEIGHT(weight acts downwards (along negative y-axis) while the TENSION upward(along positive y-axis).
