Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

\pi \cdot r + 2x + 2r = 450

De donde deducimos que

x = \frac{450-r(\pi+2)}{2}.

Así mismo, sabemos que el área de nuestra figura es  la suma del área del rectángulo (base por altura) más el área del semicirculo. Sea f(r) el área de la rigura. Entonces,

f(r) = \frac{\pi \cdot r^2}{2}+ 2\cdot r \cdot \frac{450-r(\pi+2)}{2} = \frac{\pi \cdot r^2}{2}+ r\cdot (450-r(\pi+2))

La función es una función cuadrática, ya que es un polinomio de grado 2 para la variable r. Con ayuda de un software de gráficas, podemos ver adjunta la gráfica de la función.

Adam is working two summer jobs, making $9 per hour washing cars and $8 per hour walking dogs. Last week Adam earned a total of
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

Washing cars= 4 hours

Walking dogs= 10 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

You want to start by creating equations. So one thing we know is that he makes $9 an hour washing cars(x) and $8 walking dogs(y).

$9x+$8y=$116

The second Equation is based off of the hours worked. We know that he worked 6 hours more walking the dogs than he did washing cars, so we can take x(being the washing hours) and add 6 to it to equal y (the number of dog hours).

y=x+6

Now You plug what y equals into the first equation to solve for x.

9x+8(x+6)=116     Next distribute the 8 to each term.

9x+8(x)+8(6)=116

9x+8x+48=116     Add the like terms together (9x+8x)

17x+48=116         Subtract the 48 from both sides

     -48  -48

17x=68             Now divide by 17 on both sides.

______

17    17

x=4                 Finally we can take x and plug it back in to one of the equations in order to solve for y. I'm going to choose the second equation.

y=(4)+6

y=10

How to round 47,125 to the nearest ten,to the nearest hundred, to the nearest thousand and to the nearest ten thousand
Tasya [4]
To be able to round the number 47,125 to the nearest tenth, hundredth, and thousandth place you need to know were those places are. The tens place is the second one from the right hand side. The hundreds place is the third one from the right hand side and the thousands place is the one right after the comma. Now, to round to the tens place, you need to look at the place right behind it (which would be the ones place) then you need to analyze. If the number in the ones place is between 0-4 you can NOT round the tens place but, if it is between 5-9 you can. The same rule applies when you round to the hundreds and thousands place. So the number you should end up with is - 47,135.

Mickey built his lemonade stand out of $75,000 worth of plywood and paint. he sells a glass of lemonade for $30 and uses $1.25 o
Leviafan [203]
Break even point is where all the expense is already covered by the revenue. In this case, the expense would be the stand ($75,000) and the lemon+sugar+water ( $1.25 per glass). The revenue comes from lemonade($30/glass). Then the equation would be:

$30 * glass of lemonade= $75,000 + $1.25 * glass of lemonade
($30-$1.25) * glass of lemonade= $75,000
glass of lemonade= 2608.7
