( a )   The system of equations:
2 r + b = 8.40
3 r + b = 9.35
( b ) Graph is in the attachment.
( c )  Each item costs:
 b = $6.50,  r = $0.95
We can prove it:  2 * 0.95 + 6.50 = 8.40
3* 0.95 + 6.50 = 9.35

A store receives shipments of peaches and wants to sort them by weight. Drag each shipment to match the ratio of peaches to poun
Andrej [43]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a store receives shipments of peaches.  They want to sort them by weight.

The sorting pattern is as follows:

Peaches : Pound = 2:1 or 3.25:1 or 1:3.25

Given are i) 26 peaches to 13 lbs = 26:13=2:1 Hence goes to the first box

ii) 6 peaches to 19.5 lbs =6:19,5 = 1:3,25 lb. Hence goes to II box

iii) 13 peaches to 4 lbs: =13:4=3.25:1   Hence goes to II box

iv) 39 peaches to 12 lbs: =39:12=3.25:1   Hence goes to II box

v) 15 peaches to 7.5 lbs: =15:7.5=2:1   Hence goes to I box

i    - I box

ii   -  II box

iii   - II box

iv) -   II box

v) - I box

On an algebra test, the highest grade was 42 points higher than the lowest grade. The sum of the two grades was 138. Find the lo
miv72 [106K]

you could use this equation to help you solve it;

x + (x + 42) = 138

the first step is to combine like terms;

2x = 138 -42

2x = 96

X = 96/2

X = 48

we already solved for x now substitute it in the equation I gave you.

48 + (48 + 42) = 138

48 + 90 = 138

hope it helped...if you have any concerns just let me know:)
